On another note - wondering whether anyone has given any thought to any live music - mariachi, band etc. We were thinking something for the ceremony might be nice - although not sure I want to pay $750 for 45 minutes..
we're thinking about doing the mariachi's, too... what do you think about using them for the ceremony, and then possilby a "cocktail hour" ... then you can hand it over to the DJ for the rest?

On that note, are you pretty happy with your dj choice? Is it less expensive to go with him than with SWANK?

thanks!

Janine your site looks great! Thanks for visiting us we miss you! We are going to have to head over the the Dreams post to catch up.

OMG did LeShay leave for her wedding yethuh.gif? LeShay are you herehuh.gif?

I have booked the steel drummer for our cocktail hour. Does anyone know if there are songs to pick from for steel drummers? Not that I would know what to pick Im sure whatever he plays will be nice. I really wanted and thought the mariachis would be nice but I couldnt stretch my budget without having to get rid of something else.cry.gif

IS LeShay gone already? Shit I hope not - we have to send her off in a good way!
No prob Melissa. There are several options Im copy pasting Perlas response. I choose the single drummer as I didnt want anything really loud and distracting during cocktail hour and wanted to give people a chance to talk but Im sure a full reggae band would be fun!

The price per hour will be 350 USD +10% tax with one steel drum, if you want the one steel drum and sound system 450 USD +10% like for the cocktail, in fact they have as well a Regaee Band including the steel drums with sound system per 2 sets (2 hours) the prices will be 1700 USD +10% tax. If you want to book you can do this through me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
