Any Moon Palace Brides to be out there?

Recommended Posts

We only have 7 guests apart from us and our daughter. They are all staying elsewhere, mainly at The gran Bahai Principe maya. That is costing under £1200 for 2wks all inclusive and its meant to be a great hotel. Moon Palace is a lot more. Its costing us about £4K for a week at Moon and then a week in El Dorado Royale Casistas.

Hope that helps. When you planning ur big day for?

I am getting married at the Moon Palace on 11/8/08. I know it's costing our guests a FORTUNE, most of them are only staying four days. Some people are taking advantage of those "timeshare-talk" deals at other hotels to get there cheaper. We invited about 140 people and I think no more than 20 have booked so far.

We're also looking at the El Dorado Royale for after the wedding! Any info you have would be appreciated. My travel agent has been suggesting it, but she kind of sucks and I don't really trust her anymore.

Hi there - I am also getting married at the Moon Palace, this April. There is a bunch of info on the resort if you go to the search feature and type Moon Palace. I am getting pretty close, so if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask! Best of luck with your planning!!

I'm also getting married at Moon Palace (Last week of Sept) and then going to the El Dorado for the honeymoon. Since you're going first I might just have some questions for you when you get back, hahaha. Did you go for the Casita's at El Dorado?

I'm not sure if everyone knows this and I'm just being obvious, but Moon Palace offers memberships and members save something like $40 per person per night. My FI's parents are members, but they didn't use all of their member weeks, so we found another member on Ebay willing to allow us to use his weeks for a fixed fee. Not sure if this helps anyone, but it is making it much easier to our guests to attend.

Wow! I have heard about memberships, but didn't really look into the benefits. I will definitely look into Ebay! We have our date set at the Moon Palace for 1/24/09, but are considering moving it to November or December 08 because we are having such a difficult time getting 2009 rates. With January being the beginning of high-time, we want to make sure our guests will be able to afford it! Thanks for the tip!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
