Do my DIY invite colors need to match my bridal party?

Recommended Posts

Ok this may sound totally insane but I am working on my DIY invites and going between two colors. Please keep in mind I am in the very early stages as I cant make up my mind of colors. Do the invite colors need to match my flowergirl and MOH dress colors which are now the colors of our wedding? Or will no one know but me? Please help!! First here are the girls dresses:

i like number 2. no, they need not match, but for me, picking wedding colors was about incorporating a theme throughout, so ALL my stuff matches.

I like #2. There's no rule that says they have to match, but I like to give people a sneak peek. I have also asked our guests to dress in colors that will compliment the ocean pallet, so this way they have an example. Our invites are a little darker than the aqua color that we are using so they don't technically match, but are in the same family.

You don't have to "match" everything but I think having an overall color palette is nice. My grandma ended up scrapbooking my stuff for me, so had it not all matched, it would have shown in the scrapbook. As for anyone else noticing, probably not though. Another thing- some photogs have girls bring their invites and take pics of the rings next to it,etc. Just those details shots. If that's something you like, I'd consider that too.

Oh and I meant to say- I LOVE the MOH dress. So beautiful and tropical looking. I also love the pink and green invite. I'd go with that one.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
