Plus it's inspired my grandparents to travel more. We are doing a quick trip to Reno with my parents this summer and my mom said now my grandparents want to come and my aunt too! I was like wow, this trip inspired everyone to have more group trips!

Our wedding did the same thing - since our wedding last February, my family now does everything together - we meet for breakfast every Saturday morning at a local restaurant, we all went camping last August (has been an annual thing for awhile - but now the WHOLE family goes), we went on a shopping trip across the border in November, we are planning another cross-border shopping trip in June, the camping trip again in August this year, and now, a return trip to Puerto Vallarta in February/March next year for our 2nd anniversary.

I can't believe how much closer my family has been since our trip/wedding - it's truly amazing Puerto Vallarta/Las Caletas definitely did a number on all of us!!

Ann and Rachel - you definitely have to go back to LC when you are feeling 100%

The boat ride wasn't as bad as I thought, it was just that crappy feeling all day long that sucked.

I hate that I never got to have the champage and margaritas in the casita, and all that stuff. And there just aren't many (or any?) pictures of me with a huge smile, ya know? That's the hard part!
What a bummer! Glad you didn't get sick on the boat ride though. You definitely need to go again and have those margaritas/glasses of champagne! wink.gif

My cough got so deep and I couldn't breathe. My family gave me z-pak or whatever it is. $24 in MX for 6 pills! I'm still sick with the cold now that I'm back. I've had it for nearly 3 weeks now. Probably time to see the doctor.
Pobrecita sad.gif It definitely sounds like you need to go to the doc - there have been some crazy things going around lately...

The wind does pick up in the afternoon so some commented that when they were coming over for the wedding it was rough. No casualties though. :)
VERY good to know. My Grandparents are totally freaking out about the boat ride and kind of guilt tripping me too. I am praying that everything goes well so they will see that sometimes you just have to put a little faith out there and LIVE!!! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
