I was just gathering some info for this today. It is getting relatively close to June already. Time really does fly!

So to review for everyone:

Saturday June 7th. NYC . Early afternoon meet up.

Some people have mentioned staying at a hotel in the city as well and possibly doing brunch on Sunday.

The idea Karen and I had for Saturday was a harbor cruise around Manhattan. We thought this would be fun for the people who have never been to NYC as well as us veterans of the city. There are some links below that Karen found for reasonably priced cruises. Take a look at them and we can all start to decide on what we want to do. The cruise thing is far from set in stone though. While we think it could be fun, there are a million different things we could all do together.

So post up your thoughts and ideas everyone.

Do you know Will and I were seriously considering making this our anniversary trip? He's wanted to go to NYC at least since he started web-slinging on the Spiderman video game, and I've always wanted to go to little Italy to see my people! The timing of your meet-up was perfect for us.

We already have time off and nothing booked yet...probably going to end up back in PV for sentimental value, but just wanted you to know how special you East-coasters are that we considered spending our anniversary with you.

Whenever we make it there we hope to see whoever is free!

Do you guys have a time figured out? I wasn't originally committing to this b/c I wasn't sure if we would have the time. Matt works on Saturdays, so I was wondering if the timing would work. We are a few hours from NYC, so is the meetup for Saturday evening?

It depends. If we all wanted to do a cruise with a meal and all that jazz it would be around $100 and up per person. Some are a little less.

If we just did a standard cruise around Manhattan (around the lower half where everything is anyway) it can be as little as $25 per person.

Those prices are approximate and from memory. I could be a little off. Actually, I am a little off, but that's besides the point.dizzy.gif

The standard cruises run on frequent schedules and only take an hour or two. If we did one of those we could always go to a restaurant/bar afterwards and hang out.

If nobody is feeling the cruise or if there are people that get sea-sick, we can surely find something to do in NYC.

Some other ideas.. museums, Empire State Building, Central Park picnic, pub crawl, etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
