YES! I am getting married at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo in November. We are having the ceremony in the gazebo at the Lindo so if you can get any pics of that, I would appreciate it. Also, if there are any cool locations to take pics with the bridal party, or for TTD other than on the beach that would be great as well. I asked for menus for the restaurants so we could pick our meal(s) so any feedback on the food and/or restaurants (how private is the semi-private set up, specifically the Italian restaurant) would also be good to know. At this point I'll take any info you care to share as it is probably more than I know now. Your pics are beautiful btw, so I can't wait to see what you come back with.

Joy, from what I understand the resort charges money (200 or 300?) for an outside photographer. Apparently, because I am staying at the resort, that fee is waived. I've had brides in the past who wanted to get around this fee by telling the resort that I'm a relative. I do not condone lying but at the same time that is something that I don't even know how to get involved in without causing bad karma.

Each photographer does travel differently. I personally roll the costs into the package, which allows me to make my own reservations and flight arrangements. So travel for me includes: airfare, food, flight and other transportation costs and then the cost of photography. Some photographers will charge a daily rate for travel as well.

Please let me know if you have any other questions that I can help with :)

Sure beachbride, I will be on the lookout! I bought myself the waterproof Olympus point & shoot so I will try to nab some pictures in between with it!

I'm a complete foodie and I loved the El Dorado Royale (which I stayed at last year for vacation) so I might be really picky:)

Hi Lynn! I'm curious about the Galaxy disco. Trying to figure out if we want our reception there or the Aqua Bar or if we should rent out the Tropical Restaurant. I heard the Galaxy disco is a bit cheesy. I'd love to get your thoughts on it when you get back! Thank you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
