I just wanted to check in with the brides; how's everything going? How's the checklist looking??

Well, I have to say, I don't feel like I've done much since my last post on February 3rd.

Stuff I've Checked Off the List:

- Sent STD's

- Sent Invitations

- Booked trip and honeymoon

- Did bpics, created album... awaiting wedding day to give to him!

- Finalized menu for reception

- Got my dress (and love it!)

- Booked hair/makeup

- Booked photographer

- Bridesmaid dresses ordered

- Purchased Aaron's/GM's shirts

- Booked Flights

- Wedding band purchased

- Seating chart

- Centerpieces

- Rehearsal dinner/menu confirmed with Mariana

- small things like a cake topper, starfish for my bouquet

- Guestbook (I found one that matches the invitation mulberry paper I used!)

Things that have a *partial* checkmark (mostly so I can make myself feel better about this list!)

- OOT bags. I'd like to do welcome letters, a map, etc. I'm feeling a bit worn out of DIY projects, so we'll see what happens with this.

- Playlists for reception and welcome dinner. This is on my "urgent" list!

Things Awaiting a Checkmark:

- Create welcome dinner slideshow

- Small DIY projects like: letters for OOT bags, programs (? not sure if I'm going to do them), menu cards

- Write up ceremony/readings. My uncle will be helping me with this since he is performing the ceremony

- Write my vows

- Get Aaron's ring engraved

With about a month to go before we leave, I'm not sure if some of the small things will get ditched or not. Somehow, I'm not really stressed about anything... with the exception of writing my vows. Aaron is already done writing his, and I seem to be having writers block. Other than that, I feel like all the big, important stuff is done and taken care of. If I don't have menu cards, I'm not going to get upset over it!!

Edited to Add: Ok, seriously, I only did TWO things in one month?!!!! lol. In my defense, I did a lot of honeymoon planning!!

I feel the same way. Everything is mostly done but there are still some small things to do with not much time to do them. They might not get done at this point, but really I'm so over it. The whole planning and DIY'ing and Shopping the whole thing, the only thing I want to do now is get there and have the wedding.

That's a great idea Michelle, too bad I'll miss you. I think there will be a few of us down there in mid-June as well. We should try and meet up also! I can't believe how many of us are coming up in the next couple months. At least i know I can't be the only one starting to freak out right about now.wacko.gif

I'm going to take this moment to hijack this thread and vent about the annoyance of trying to get in contact with vendors!

Seriously, Mariana is usually really, really good about replying, but the last 2 months or so I've had a lot of trouble. It's not just her though, name a vendor (thankfully with the execption of my lovely TA, Tammy!) and I can't get a response. Even Suzanne Morel - there's some assistant that's handling all of Paulina's emails... ya, NO RESPONSE! It seems as I get closer to the wedding, I get less responses. I leave in like 3 weeks and people seem like they're heading for the hills!

UGH!

Ok... vent over. How's everyone else's plans coming along?

Ya, that's who is helping me too. She emailed me a while back to let me know that she is helping Paulina out - fine, no big deal. I don't actually need to communicate much with them except my final payment is due right away and I had a few questions for her, so I replied to HER email and I haven't heard back since. That was just last week, so I guess I could settle down and be a little more patient, but still!!!

You know, I don't really feel like it's only a month away. I could look at my ticker and it could say "5 months" and I'd believe it!! It's sneaking up so quickly!

Two months! How is everything coming along?? Do YOU need help with anything? What are some of the bigger things that you have left to do?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
