What time is your wedding? Are you doing dinner at any of the restaurants? I'm considering renting the disco or Seagrapes. I think the disco is $250 US for 2hours and includes the DJ and Bar (9-11) not sure how private though.

My wedding is @ 4 pm and I'm booked right now for Mammee's at 6:30. I want to try and keep everything flowing w/o any breaks and w/o moving locations. ie.. dinner and party part of the reception at different locations.
My wedding is at 4 p.m. and we also have reservation for Mammee's at 6:30.
We booked the Seagrape for 2h: 9-11h. It's 10$ per person for open bar we are 35 so 350$(It's stupid to pay for open bar at an all inclusive but I wanted to be outside).
I think it's 250$ for the disco and it just open at 11 p.m. for the public so you have the disco for your group.
I think that way everything will be flowing and not to rush: we have 2h between the ceremony and dinner for the pictures and we have 2h30 for dinner.

Hi Bobbie

Oh, ok. Thanks. I guess since I didn't ask specifically I didn't get that answer. That's the pleasure of this site and the people on it! Thanks again!

Hi Ocho Bride,

My wedding date is 8/16/08/ I did get that same info about the disco opening up at 11 for the public.

I'm not sure about the amount of people I'm going to have at this point so I'm trying to hold off a little longer to confirm if I would even be able to use Mammee's since it only seats 50 or so comfortably. I have a feeling I'll end up at Seagrapes or Plantation for sure. Thought about poolside, but I think $50 pp when you have a group of 75 or more is too much. I agree, I hate the fact that u have to pay for open bar. Guess just one of those things!!smile27.gif

How do u plan to introduce your wedding party, etc if you have one? Are you doing this at dinner or at Seagrapes?

I think if your more then 50 the plantation is the best way to go and it's less expensif then having dinner at seagrape or poolside. I'm not sure about introducing my wedding party....probably during dinner...
I think the evening at the seagrape will be fun just to be able to dance in the sand...lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
