April Fools Pranks

Is anyone a prankster and have any interesting stories to share?

My co-workers and I decided we are going to play some jokes on our boss. He's a good guy and will get a kick out of it. Hey, it's all in fun, right?! We're making cookies made with salt instead of sugar and changing his phone/caller id to say "Mr. Kitten" LOL We need more ideas but so far I think we're doing pretty good.

Ah, I heart this holiday.fencing.gif

My mom's b-day is on April fools day so my brother and I have a lot of prankster practice. Here a few that we've used and a few that are good for the office.

- flip everything in the room, office upside down

- open a can of tuna a few days prior and hide it really well

- fill the room/office with bubble wrap or those popcorn packing things

- with a pen, pop out a few keys on his keyboard and put them back in the wrong location

- saran wrap over the toliet... my mom is still mad about that one

- remove the contents of the salt shaker and fill with sugar... do the same to the sugar

- add a few drops of Tabasco to the coffee creamer / half & half

Thats all I can think of right now. I'll let you know if I come up with anything genius. After reading these, I'm surprised that my mom didn't disown me!

Ok, I know I've posted these before, but they're still the favorite ones I've done in the past.... we had this one lady who was really sweet in the office I worked in several years back- but lets just say she had a serious "dimmer switch" on her light bulbs. So here are the two things I did (not even waiting for April Fools Day).

1) She came to work one day commenting she had taken the tollway for the first time, but never saw where to put the tickets in and just kept hearing all the bells & whistles going off when she drove thru the tollway lanes. So I faked a letter from the North Texas Trollway Association (yes, deliberate misspelling that was never caught by her) and had the receptionist stamp it and hand it to her. The letter said she was caught violating the toll booths and had to pay $900 in fines within 24 hours or she'd be arrested. BUT- for the month of May, the NTTA was offering a special: if she used a black marker and wrote "tolltag" on a piece of 8x11 paper and affixed this to the upper part of her front passenger window, the NTTA would take a picture of her car when she drove thru the toll booths and would just bill her monthly. But she had to act immediately to avoid arrest. Signed, Shaquita/The Imprisonment Specialist. My field technicians sent me pics of that damn paper taped to her car window. I had to call her at the end of the day and tell her to remove it so she wouldn't get busted.

2) Several months later, I decided to mess around with her again. at the time, Nextel was just starting the 2-way radio/cell phone service, and caller ID wasn't available on the text messages. So I sent her a text message that said, "low battery. remove battery and rub on hand three times." Once she did that and had the battery put back into the 2-way, I texted her again with "mmmm.... that felt good." She never did figure that one out....

OMG ROFL... that's hilarious. I'm at work and laughing so bad my eyes are tearing up. You're such a prankster! We have a toll bridge in Destin, I wonder if I know anyone who would fall for this.

My mom LOVES April fools jokes! Every year when I lived at home she would stuff our shoes with toilet paper so it felt like our feet grew. It was funny.

Last year was her best year though. You know how older sinks have a speperate nossle for spraying? It looks like a little squirt gun kind of? Anyway, she taped (clear tape) the trigger. So when my dad woke up and turned the water on, instead of coming out of the faucet, he got super soaked from the sprayer! It was SOOO funny.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
