oh, i thought of one during lunch. my whole family says "skanks" instead of thanks, because when i was little (like 2) i said skanks instead of thanks, and it stuck. literally everyone -- even some of my aunts/uncles and cousins say it! the first time my FI heard my dad say it to me when we were over at my parents' house for dinner, my FI was like uhhh WTF... haha

Oh yes, I use that one too!! LOL.

I also always say 'sanks' instead of thanks or 'sank you'. No speech impediment, just me!

What else? Any little gizmo in our family that doesn't have a name is called a 'fitzner' for whatever reason.

Oh and those soda crackers that you use in soup? Those are bickies. They have been my whole life and will always be (thanks dad!)

The best is Chris makes up words to songs all the time. It drives me crazy but makes me laugh all the time, cause he usually makes it sexual LMAO. The words pecker and pole get used alot. rofl.gif

Okay, new word for my vocab, used by a colleague to describe a meeting:

Moronothon

ie., call my cell phone in about 45 minutes. I'm going to some moronothon on corporate governance.

LOVE that. It's pretty much every single day at work...

ok here is one of the gems off my personal list of stupid quotes that jose keeps:

"that was the worst hurting bruise lasting ever."
-said while i was sick, late at night when i was tired, 6 weeks after i had fallen in the bathtub and gotten a horrible bruise that just wouldnt heal. i MEANT to say that it was the longest lasting most painful bruise i ever had. go figure. sometimes i read my quote list and think how the hell did i get a masters degree in journalism? thank god i dont say stupid stuff like that everyday.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
