Need DJ for Cancun

Recommended Posts

Hi Jill,

Hope you are well. I think I may be using a DJ. But we are really hoping for a live band. OUr wedding may be at a non-all inclusive. We found a wedding coordinator whose price for live band is not so far from DJ. But we're still undecided. We moved wedding to FEb 2008 so we have time.

Itunes will take any songs from CD and encode them into mp3 files. These files will go on your iPod. Any song in the mp3 format can go on the iPod. There are many sources for mp3 files online, both free and for purchase. The songs purchased on iTunes are a special flavor of mp3 (m4u) that cannot be easily shared, they will work on your iPod but not on somebody elses iPod. Apple does this to make the record companies happy, they don't like everyone sharing their mp3s. Any song file that ends in .mp3 can be used on your iPod and anybody else's computer or iPod.

Hi,

I am also a Dreams Cancun bride as well! I am using an outside photographer and Claudia had no problem with that....so I don't see why a dj would matter. Maybe she meant that she doesn't work with outside wedding coordinators??

I am going to just hope that the dj she brings in is a good one because I can't seem to find any other dj options in cancun.

Hi...

We had a DJ at our wedding... our WC (weddingsinplaya.com) helped us book one out of PDC... and we were able to email the DJ all of the songs we wanted before we went down to mexico... we were also able to have a face to face meeting with him to discuss what kind of music we were looking for him to play...

i don't think our wedding would have been as fun for our guests, if we had a band instead... the dj had everyone dancing all nite...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
