It is actually super busy in the ER - people come in for the silliest things "um I've had this back pain for like 4 weeks but I think I need to be seen today" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? But serioulsy it is fun and makes the time go fast - and I would much rather do it on the weekend than during the week - it is way better IMO!

I used to work in the ER on the weekend and I know how crazy it is. It is nice up on the floors because there are not as many docs and PT and social workers and speech pathologists and everyone else trying to get the chart as during the week.

Also, as I typed about how peaceful my weekend was, I was thinking, you idiot, now you are going to be so busy! I jinxed me!

OKAY, back to weightloss! Sorry!

While we're venting about our nursing jobs, I'll confess that I ate two chocolate chip cookies and 10 meatballs tonight. I avoided the cake and the pizza, but still feel like I failed miserably. We, as always, had a potluck tonight for a nurse that's moving away. I did eat some of the veggies I brought, but also the other crap.

Oh well- there's always tomorrow (well, technically today, but whatever...)!

Sarah, don't beat yourself up, we're all going to have days like that. Just work on eating good today and try to get a workout in. You can do it!

Dont worry about it, at least you avoided some of the other things. Just consider it your "bad" day and jump back on track today!

Hey girls! I totally fell off the wagon! I went out Thursday night with my BFF who was leaving town. I did ok with food on Thursday but proceeded to party like a rock star. We closed the bar down then went back to a friend's house to play pool. THe cab dropped me off at home at 5:30 am! I was trying not to get too drunk so I had beer all night! Talk about calories.

Then, I had to go into work for a bit Friday so I was in at 8:00. I can drink or I can skip sleep--NOT BOTH! I felt like crap all day yesterday. I had that hangover where my tummy was so upset all I wanted to do was eat and hope I could keep something down to help settle it. With it being Friday during Lent I had no good food in my house that I could eat. So, I downed an entire box of Velveeta shells & cheese--approx. 1000 calories!

But today is a new day! I guess I'll go shovel snow. THat's a good work-out!

OH this is so true!! Sundays are the worst...i think people just dont want to go to work on Monday so they go to the ER to try to get a MD note for out of work.

I am a cat scan tech and am on call tonight and this is when I have problems....I'll be sleeping and get called into work say at 1:00am, Ill get up and on the way out the door Ill grab a granola bar or some kind of 100 calorie pack or something. For some reason I think that eating will wake me up for the 25 minute ride to work. OK then I get home, back into bed and get called back at 3:00am and Ill do the same thing. By the end of the night on call, I'll have at least 300 calories that I just dont need.

Sorry if this is getting long, I dont know if anyone else eats to "wake themselves up". But tonight when I get called in to scan the people that have had headaches for 4 months (but figure that 4am Sunday is the best time to go to the ER), I am going to really try not to eat those snacks!!

Enjoy your weekend everyone bunny_4.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
