Playa Pesquero is where we are thinking of doing it. Paradisus Rio De Oro is one I was looking at, but the reviews on Trip Advisor are not as good, and there is more wedding info for PP. So, that is why I am leaning towards PP.

I did and they all look nice. There is also a horse drawn carriage that takes the bride and bm's to the altar, included in the wedding package. Which is free :) I will have lots of upgrades, but starting free is nice.

Thank you. You are making me feel so much better. You have really been a good friend to help me with this. I appreciate it so much. What area of the city are you in? Maybe we could meet for coffee one day or something.

I wondered what you were going to do about him living in Calgary, I did not want to ask though, thought it might be to personal. That is so sad, we have only just met :)

Alright, I live downtown, but I work across from the Eaton Centre, so, we can totally make it work. PM me and we will go from there.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey there, we are getting married in Cuba as well. We chose Occidental Grand Playa Turquesa as a friend of mine got engaged there. We have also been to Paradisus Rio de Oro for my fiance's best friend's wedding. It was amazing, we are going to be going there for the second week of our stay. The only reason we chose Occidental was because it was cheaper than Paradisus otherwise we would have gladly gotten married at PRDO. Feel free to ask me any questions and I'll try to answer them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
