2 months to go and feeling OVERWHELMED!!!

Recommended Posts

I thought we were pretty much all done organising everything in may last year when we booked our wedding through our travel agent. They told us everything would be arranged (flowers, restaurant etc) on arrival in resort. Well i was pretty laid back until i found this site a few months ago and found out most people decide and book things beforehand. Since then my fiancee says i've become obsessed lol!!

You know what, I think I'm gonna invite my girlfriends to a "HELP YOLANDA GET HER STUFF TOGETHER" Assembly Party.

I get a funny feeling that I'd be the only one there!!!

I may have to disguise this as a "LETS HAVE SOME DRINKS" Party just to lure them in.

Haha... that's a great idea. I'm thinking of doing the same! So, so wish my family lived close by... my Grandma is so artistic and loves different projects... maybe I'll have to outsource my overlays to her. lol...

I'm right there with you Yolanda! I'm getting married the same day! I actually do have almost everything together... but that doesn't help the stress level! I'm stressed that I'm done with everything! I feel like I forgot someting, or I think I'm finished but I'm not and I won't notice until the day before we leave. Oh I'm so dramatic!!!

Really my to-do list:

Assemble wedding binder to take with and stay organized

Put together wedding music on CDs and label

Pack 2nd OOT bag suitcase (so much crap!)

We need to host a "bridal party party" in which we will give everyone their gifts

I need to find a thick bridal bag to carry my dress in

Buy a signature picture frame for guests to sign

Order cake take out boxes!!!!

E-mail the resort with our room selection & dinner resos.

I'm going to report back if guests still have a good time if the bride is a lazy shlump and didn't do anything for them. Honestly, I had a huge to do list. Somewhere in a year's time span, most have been crossed off. Not because I did them- but because I decided not to or simply ran out of time and didn't have much of a choice.

I wouldn't worry too much girls. I'm sure most guests don't have too high of expectations for all the little goodies. They are there to witness a beautiful wedding and have a good time as well.

It's official....I can feel my Bridezilla transformation coming on!!! LOL
Oh, you have no idea! My Bridezilla transformation came on full force today! I ordered five sets of napkin rings (with six napkin rings per set). They're silver and I thought they would look great for my beach reception... well the UPS man arrived today and after paying $64 in brokerage fees I opened the box and there were 5 napkin rings in total... not the 30 from the 5 sets of 6 that there were supposed to be.
After emailing the company I was told sorry for the mistake but they were now out of stock... bridezilla came out for the first time in full force... needless to say the remaining 25 napkin rings are being sent to me as we speak. lol....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
