Help me decide what kind of wedding band I should get!

Recommended Posts

Oh yikes. That's a tough one, for sure. I go back and forth between being honest and letting your FI know the truth - since YOU will be wearing this for the rest of your life! But at the same time, you then risk hurting the feelings of both him and your FMIL. It sounds like maybe your FI knew your style, but didn't trust his gut well enough. That's too bad.

Does he know how you feel? If he doesn't maybe you can explain to him that he really did know you best, and while you appreciate the gift, you'd rather have something less flashy, and more "you." And then he can talk to his mom and try to explain that you love the ring, it just isn't you and you'd love to have something a little more simple.

Some women do operate under the assumption that more, and bigger, diamonds are better - and don't understand when some of us just don't agree!

So does anyone know of a good place to go in Chicago where I can try on a lot of different options? I think I just need to try them on to decide. The shop where we got my e-ring doesn't have many options.

Oh, and if there are any more opinions out there ... please share!

I haven't made a decision unfortunately, but I was leaning towards eternity until I thought about some of the comments you ladies have made! I was first thinking it would be nice to have diamonds all the way around so I never have to worry about it turning or being lined up, and also it would be pretty on it's own if I didn't wear my e-ring for some reason. But maybe it's not the best idea? I don't know!

I do think I need to go try on all styles and decide what I like best.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
