THURSAY 4/24

Welcome Party

FRIDAY 4/25

Ladies: Spa

Men: Golf/ATV Riding/Jet Skiing (Need Suggestions Por Favor)

Rehearsal

Rehearsal Dinner (at the Paradisus)

Group Trip to Downtown Karaoke Bar -Showtime

(Has anyone heard of it?)

SATURDAY 4/26

Wedding

SUNDAY 4/27

Farewell

Can you all give me your Friday suggestions, or day before the wedding activity suggestions. I'm stressing out over here!

Has anyone ever gone to Showtime for Karaoke?

Or had a Casino Night activity brought into their resort?

What are some of the things you're planning?

Anyone staying on the property the entire time?

Please Help

Hi LeShay!

May I suggest you let them just hang out and enjoy the pool, beach, going to the market or anything else?

I only had 41 adults and they hung out together, found things to do and the few things we did have planned other than the welcome dinner and wedding, some people still did their own thing. Which was good because we stressed about it a little and people just enjoyed the resort.

This is what we had:

Thursday night - out for bachelor/bachelorette

Friday - rehersal and welcome dinner

Saturday - wedding

Sunday - Brunch (no one really showed at 10am... they either got up early to enjoy their last day, or slept in from partying all night!)

Sunday afternoon - Jungle tour (only 10 of us went - people wanted to stay at Dreams)

Monday - Chichen Itza (6 of us went - again, people didn't want to be away from the resort all day - 7:15am -8:30pm)

I think you have plenty planned. I wouldnt stress if you dont have to. Im sure its going to be a vacation to alot of people so they might not want there whole time planned for them. Just my thoughts, because i was originally going to plan something for everyday and after talking to alot of quests they would rather plan as they go and just relax.

Yes, we walked to Coco Bongo - it was a blast!

We stayed at Dreams, we met in the tower lobby at 6pm... took until 7pm for everyone to get there which was right when dinner was being served in the ballroom with a Carribbean show.
It just worked out that they closed all the restaurants that night for the Carribbean dinner.

The resorts often have a different theme everynight. When I was in Cancun our hotel had karaoke one night, casino the next. Just take advantage of the entertainment already at the hotel. That way guests don't feel obligated to participate & you don't have to worry about/ pay for any of it. Just being in Mexico @ one of the great resorts is fun. You don't have to make fun happen, it just will.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
