Jilly mentioned in the other Dreams Cancun thread that the resort uses Juan Navarro and the website is: http://www.juanphotos.com. We are having so many more people than expected coming to our wedding that we cannot afford a different photog and are using the resort photographer despite anyone I know of actually using them. I hope it goes well!

I know it is frustrating and easier said than done, but once you have a date arranged with them and a contract in the works, you're good.
The contracts are not final until they meet with you when you are there.
It is good to have most of it decided and now they have all the options on their website, so you can make most decisions.
The other thing I did was look carefully at previous DC brides pictures to be sure to ask for certain things.

This may not be what you want to hear, it was advice I also received...but know that about a month before your wedding date you will receive quick turnarounds on your emails.
They have so many events each week I can understand how weddings that are far out don't take priority.

When I met with Claudia I realized I was worried about nothing.
She had a folder full of our correspondence and pictures I sent.
She made suggestions when I told her my ideas and she is the expert.

So, don't worry, it will be perfect!

Nothing that I can remember...
I knew I was going to have to pay more for BM flowers and table centerpieces, but didn't know how much since I wanted to discuss some pictures I sent with her.

I had worked out the cake over email. Similar to one in the ppt she sent, just smaller, so I knew the cost.

If I remember anything, I will post.

I think we handed out more tips than we expected, because we were so pleased :) We know it was included, but we wanted to give them more.
We had 5 waiters and 2 bartenders, Claudia, the sound guy, didn't see the mariachi trio (no tip - oops).

Hi Paula, Hope you are better now ? I am under the impression that untill a deposit of 50% is given for the package nothing including the prices are fixed ? Did you pay a deposit of 50% ? If so how did you do this if the contract wasn't fanalised untill you got there? Did you still sign the contract but change the odd things afterwards ? Thanx again x

Hey Jenn, She should send you a contract with everything listed eg - whats included in your package and what extras you are having to pay for with an area for signitures for both yourself and Dreams, you may need to ask her about this ?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
