Attention 2009 ROR Brides (and grooms)

Recommended Posts

I am still waiting. Poop! I put my request in on Monday and I haven't gotten a reply. I am trying to be patient and not be a bridlizza but my patience is wearing thin. I cross my fingers for all you other 2009 brides out there, except those who want the same date as me. LOL.

How long did everyone wait for their confirmation code? The dates for January keep getting sucked up and I don't want to wait and then have nothing available. Nor do I want to be the bride that contacts them so much they say "hey lets mess with her and not give her a time".

I have become addicted to my email that I check it every 15 min. AHHHH!

I put my request in Monday as well... still waiting. Plus I emailed them asking what was up with them telling me just last week to wait until MarchApril but haven't gotten any response or clarification.

I am feeling a bit frustrated with Riu at the moment. I can't beleive how many January spots are already filled up according to their website.

Where are you all having your recpetion dinner and everything?
Yay our times will overlap as well! I might have to scope out your wedding/setup before I make my final decisions. wink.gif

With the recent reviews I am leaning towards doing the free dinner at Mammee Bay and then having a reception on the beach at SeaGrape. How about you?

Do you plan on using the resort photographer? I was lucky enough to win a wedding package from Nic on this site :) With all the recent reports about photo contracts and issues with Michael I am a bit nervous . Hopefully by next January it will all get figured out!

So, I am patiently( ya right!) awaiting the confirmation of my date and time from ROR. For those of you that have already received your comfirmation, how many of you actually got the time and date you wanted and how many were told it was unavailable and you had to change it?

I request this past Monday and they emailed me late Friday night. I was able to get my date, so I am not sure what happens if you don't. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I'm so frustrated! I can't believe that there are so many dates and times taken for Jan2009! Originally we wanted to get married around 2pm; that time is unvailable for the whole week we will be there. The only time left is 1100! I don't know what to do. It seems so early; what will my guests do until dinner?

Remember that some people request their time and then later end up cancelling. If you book the time of 11 it might not be the best time, but if you wait a couple of months and are persistant you may get a time that another bride didnt confirm. Hope that help a bit.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
