Everyone was fine except maybe me :) My legs were just sweating under my dress, but I was dancing non-stop for like 3 hours. May will probably be about 3 or 4 degrees warmer, but at night, but you have a natural breeze since you are right by the ocean. You should be fine...

The more pictures you post of your wedding the more excited I get for our wedding! I can't wait to dance in the sand! We are having our dinner and reception/dance on the beach and cannot wait! Why not take full advantage of the beach is what I say!!

Did you find it very breezy at night on the beach? I'm just a little worried about our candles blowing out. No biggy if they do as I think Chandlyn said she would supply tiki torches.

Ooh... that is really want I want to do as well. How much is it to have both on the beach? And do you mind sharing the menu you are having. ((A while back I think I saw it was like $50 pp and it was a BBQ style... just wonering if you had more details))

Also are the tiki torches provided free of charge? Or are they (as I'm assuming) another extra?

The beach reception is $50 per person (includes open bar, buffet dinner and set up) and we are having ours from 6:30 to 10:30 (hopefully 11ish). I believe the tiki torches will be supplied at no charge. There is a BBQ option but there is also another menu that has chicken and lamb and I think pork. I have them at work so will have to email them to you Monday. I'm still working on that portion of it. You can also upgrade to lobster for an extra $10 per person.

We got down there on a Sunday, asked about a upgrade when we checked in and were upgraded to an Ocean suite on Tuesday. We met with Chandlyn and went over things really quickly. I had all of my email confirmations, but it made me a little nervous that she was making notes of things that were already "confirmed". We ended up spending 3g on our free wedding with the upgrades. Our flowers were 1g, which is completely ridiculous, but I absolutely loved them.

We did a Welcome Cocktail at Seagrape with burned CD's, tables, and fire posts. Friday, our ceremony was at 1pm. I'm not going to lie, the break between ceremony/pictures seemed REALLY long and tiring. A bunch of our family changed and went to the pool, but all of the bridal party stayed in their gear. We ate at Mammee Steak for dinner (it was super good), and then had the Seagrape for our actual reception at well. We had a DJ, and it was SO MUCH FUN!!! There was another bride/party and they danced on the outskirts of our party just watching... I'm so happy that we went w/ the Seagrape instead of the alternatives.

Chandlyn was GREAT and came through on everything. I was a little nervous, but she was really fantastic.

Here are some of my pics...I'm hoping to have more of the reception soon. Warning...there are a lot of "family" pics...

Hi, nice pics!!! Thanks so much for sharing all the info, it sure helps the rest of us out. I have a couple more questions, hope you don't mind!
- You had the beach location, obviously not the gazebo. When did you choose the archway, prior to arriving?
- You were married at 1:00? I have noticed some pictures of later weddings that look really dark, in the shade almost. In your opinion, would you say 2:00 or 3:00 would be a good time?
- Was the 3 layer cake included? What flavour did you get?
- Was it really windy? I guess an up hair style would be best for that

Sorry for all the questions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
