The WC sent me last night a price of 150.00 and hour to rent the speaker sand stuff. and the DJ is 200.00 an hour and we need 3 hours min.
Our reception is in the marino restaurant- the linens she is charging me- I just printed out the invoice that she sent. Our reception is 50.00 a person but that includes open bar too
What is she charging for the linens?

Our beach reception cost is a flat $2500 for 3-hours ... but I am sure there will be 'extras' that we aren't aware of...

I agree ... and we want a wide variety of music (shag and oldies plus dance, country, swing, pop/rock, etc...) so it just makes sense for us to do the iPod instead of a DJ.

I am burning everything on to CD's as well just in case there is an issue w/ the iPod or a connection doesn't work, etc ... so we will have the CD player (provided) as our back-up.

Tami, What Package Did You Go For? I Sent My Deposit For May 22,2009, I'm Kinda Of Ocd And Have To Have Things Done Early. Thanks For The Information You Are Providing. Any Extras That They Will Be Charging For That We Should Know Of? Are You Bringing Your Own Centerpieces?

Thanks

Jessica

If you do one of the traditional packages, it is extra per person after the initial package fee.

However, we are doing a beach reception, which includes a buffett and 3-hour open bar for $2500.

Extras include, colored table linens, Cd/iPod/Speakers (or DJ), centerpieces, cake... the list goes on.

We are bringing our own centerpieces -- simple shells and starfish we will scatter on each table, and 2-3 votives per table. I'd like to add the circular mirrors, but am trying to save $$. It's all adding up fast.

Is Kelly the WC at PPR? I'd email her ask. I knw everything costs more there, but its worth a shot.

Even the $250 plus $8 per cigar that one of the factorie was going to charge really didn't seem like a bad deal to me either.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
