honestly, the fact that Obama doesn't have as much "experience" is refreshing to me. hell, look where "experience" has got us thus far. having been in politics for your whole life isn't necessarily an appealing thing to me - it just means you've got too many ties, and too many obligations.

and that's one nice thing about this country, technically, those people on that list DO have a chance to win! i realize it's not realistic, but at least they're getting out there and giving it their best! (I actually didn't even look at who was on the list!)

ok, off to the gym ... I can't wait to see how this takes off!

Amen to that! China owns our asses right now....even though it may not make the nightly news. Can you imagine the outcome if they stop "playing nice"?

Umm...I was just thinking something along that line too. Here I sit in my pj's, getting ready to go to bed. Not the gym. Too funny.

I'm not sure who will win, but I am supporting Obama this year.

I like Hillary Clinton. I read her autobiography and came away feeling impressed with her toughness (in a good way) and her commitment to womenâ€s and childrenâ€s issues. Sheâ€s smart and savvy and her very detailed proposals display her impressive grasp on policy issues.

However, Iâ€m looking for more in a president than great policy positions. Iâ€m unconvinced that Hillary can really move America forward. It sounds like an Obama-sponsored talking point, but I am really ready for a change.

I think Obama is bold, honest, real, inspiring, visionary, fresh, and (I hope) transformative. People are aching for that kind of leader. He can bring people together to solve the real problems that we face: ending the war, getting off of oil dependency, and investing in health care and education. He inspires hope in young people and independents, and even some of my die-hard Republican friends would consider voting for him. Would they vote for Hillary? No way. Especially not against John McCain.

For me, itâ€s a little bit of a gut feeling (I canâ€t help but feel hopeful deep down when I hear him give a speech) and a little bit pragmatic (I think he has a better shot at beating McCain).

I'm right with you Sarah...night-shifters unite! ROFL!

BTW kudos to everyone who has spoken their opinions here, whether popular or not.

Janet, well said. Even if I didn't agree with you (and I pretty much do) I would have to say that was well said. You live in political central, the belly of the beast, so to speak. May the force be with you, you couldn't escape politics if you tried!! LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
