Yes, they are allowed on the resort without paying a guest pass AND they will be considered part of the wedding group. (Because they still booked the Beaches rooms through our group contract.)

My biggest thing was that they don't allow any outside vendors. I'm lucky to have 2 photographers in my family. THey are going to handle the pictures and video as my gift. The same package from Sandals would have been over $2000!
That's why I'm sneaking in a photographer too! LOL!! Sandals least expensive photography package is $1400. I have the opportunity to have a professional photographer book as part of my wedding group and she's only going to charge me $2200 to photograph the entire wedding PLUS give us a 2 hour model shoot. This is such a blessing!

they have 2 bouquets to choose from for the free bouquets at sandals, the carnation and the daisy bouquet. i am not fond of either even though they will match your colors. im contemplating having silk flowers done in the bouquet i want. i have been in contact with some vendors here and say it is very common for destination weddings and they will do what i want. just an idea for those of you that don't want the bouquet provided by sandals or that don't want to pay the ridiculous amounts of money they want for another bouquet!!

IrieBride-

That would be great if you would post the pics and info that you have. The pictures from the actual resort photographers would be helpful to see.

I don't want to pay that high of a price for their bouquets either! I think I'm going to get silk bouquets and bring them there. That way i'll get to keep them and they'll last forever!

Thanks

Last January I went to a DW at Sandals Whitehouse. I recently got engaged and I have been thinking about going back to a Sandals, maybe the one in Negril.

As for the destination wedding I was recently at, the bride used the free flowers for her boutique, but brought silk flowers for the bridesmaid boutique. The bridesmaids ended up being much prettier.

She was kinda disappointed with her onsite photography and recommended sneaking in an outside friend/photographer in. She just wishes her pictures were a little better. Hope this helps!

Congrats and good luck planning!

Ok, finally getting around to posting those promised pics. These are a few that the WC sent me to give me an example of the resort photography. (They are from the SGOR resort.) They actually look very nice...

Thank you IrieBride! It is so pretty there, I can't wait. Their decorations you posted are gorgeous, but the prices are outrageous! The 2nd and 3rd pictures you posted of the couples have a bouquet that looks to be made of different colored daises. Do you know if that is the free bouquet? If so, it's not so bad as people have been saying. I think it's kinda pretty.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
