SANDALS Bride??

Recommended Posts

Have any of you done a lot of research about their photography?

I know you have to use their services, so I'm wondering how good a job they do?

Also, do we have to choose from one of their photo packages or a la carte pricing ahead of time or can we just decide on photos that we want when we get there?

I've heard that it's good to just get the negatives and print them from home. Will Sandals let you just buy the negatives?

Thank you for any info!

I'm a Sandals Dunns River Villago bride and even though i haven't been there, i did lots of research. As far as the pictures i'm planning to get the a la carte pics and handing out disposable cameras(those cute wedding ones that have the couples name and wedding date) to my guests, so that they can take lots of pictures!

Hi,

I am a Sandals Dunn's River bride and I have not looked into the photos. Will more than likely get a few from them. I also have the prices and photos for the upgrade in flowers and anything else you may need. The free flowers are daisies. Let me know and I can try to post it or email it.

Has anyone already had their wedding at Sandals Dunn's River already? If you have a few photos can you post them. I am getting a little anxious and want things to be perfect.

Karen-

That would be great if you could post the pictures and prices for upgraded flowers? I'm not to excited about the daises. I'm thinking about purchasing my own flowers to bring there and then I will have them as a keepsake too.

Yes, if anyone has pictures of their Sandals wedding, it would be great to see them.

Thanks!

Hi Dedra,

I also have the flower photos and prices and I'm happy to send them to you after I leave work today. (They are on my home computer!) The prices are very high for flowers! I was knocked out when I saw them! I decided on the spot to do artificial flowers because they seemed so outrageous. For a bouquet with 12 flowers is $150 and for 24, $250 just for the bridal bouquet. This doesn't include flowers for the wedding party, etc. The packet also includes ceremony decor options that are available.

I was able to get some pictures from my WC of shots taken by the resort photogs and they actually look very nice. I'll post them as soon as I can upload them to my photobucket account. I also have a photo of the free cake that I will post as well.

I too also looked at the sandals resorts; but decided against sandals due to the fact that they are for couples only. My fiancee and I both have friends who are single as well as siblings that are single, therefore sandals would not be suitable for our group. I guess it all depends on your wedding group. I am a little disapointed we could not due a sandals but we are thinking of doing our honeymoon there.

I initially thought this would be an obstacle as well, but Sandals has been very accomodating to me and my guests. We have over 40 coming and some are single guests. Sandals also offered us the option of having them stay at the Beaches Resort where they are still considered part of the wedding group. (We did a group contract for 20 rooms.)

Welcome! I'm a Jamaica bride, but not a Sandals bride. The Sandals resorts in Negril really weren't the best deal for us and what we wanted to do, so we went with Couples. My biggest thing was that they don't allow any outside vendors. I'm lucky to have 2 photographers in my family. THey are going to handle the pictures and video as my gift. The same package from Sandals would have been over $2000!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
