We passed it around here too. It's nice to see their re-vamped site.

For those of you that were already married at Dreams and had the buffet dinner...

 

Did they put all the courses out at once or did they only put out appetizers, then salad and soup, then main courses, then dessert?

Wow Paula, just looked at your ticker!! 8 days! OMG I am so happy for you! Wow, i still have 4hundredsomething to go!! HAHA!!

 

I haven't decided on the plated or buffet yet.....hope to hear reviews on both before I choose...

 

Can't wait to read and see when you get back home!!

A question for those who have either been to Dreams for their wedding or have got their wedding date confirmed - I have booked through a TA called Tropical Sky, they have told me that I don't have to pay a separate deposit for the wedding package but I have been in contact with Daniella and she informs me that weather you book direct or through an agent you still have to pay a deposit for the wedding package, this isn't a problem for me but I just wondered what you guys did ?

Oh no! I think I'm confusing matters between my Travel agant and Daniella @ Dreams! I was in contact with Dadiella before I booked through my TA so I have carried on asking her questions regarding extras and so on. Anyway to cut a long story short my TA thinks that Daniella thinks I am booking my wedding direct with her (even though I have explained I have already booked through a TA) Daniella has emailed me to say she is working on my contract and I will need to pay 50% deposit and my TA says I don't pay anything!! AARRRRR !! My TA has advised me not to contact Dreams for the time being, I hope I havn't coursed problems, what do you guys think?

Jodey...I was also told by our TA that we wouldn't pay anything until we got down to Cancun and now I have Claudia emailing me telling me I need to send her money which I'm not totally comfortable with so we are contacting our TA to ask why we have to send her the money when we are going to be down there in 4 weeks anyway. Claudia sent me an email with ways to send her money and she doesn't even have a paypal account set up or anything she wants me to send her my credit card information...which like I said I'm not comfortable with, anyone could get ahold of that information that way, it's just not a very secure way of doing it. I'll get back to you with what else I find out. Let me know if you find out anything else as well.

Hi Carolena, Thanks for your response, wow its soooooo close for youo now! I bet you really excited, do you know if you have to go through all the legalities that I have to comming from England ? It seems a bit of a nightmear really, there dosn't seem to be a lot of info about this and different people say different things, AAARRRR !! Anyway... My TA has said shes going to find out and get back to me, so as soon as I know anything I'll let you know x

I am booking my wedding with Claudia and the travel accomodations with a travel agent. You will need to put a deposit down for the wedding - Claudia said 1/2 to hold the date and confirm everything.

 

I asked:

How do we pay for the wedding package and optional items? Do we pay before we arrive in Mexico or when we get there?

 

She replied:

First we will need 50% deposit from the wedding package you selected and remaining balance you can pay it on arrival or in advance as you prefer. Please find payment options attached.

 

I am waiting to hear back on when she expects the deposit.....

Hi Jenn, I'm soooo confused, at the moment my TA is telling me I don't have to pay onother deposit to the one I have paid to secure the accomodation, my TA is also organising the booking of the wedding package so maybe this is the difference? I suppose I will have to wait and see, good job I've got plenty of time! LOL

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
