What kind of milk do you drink?

Jamy,

i used to be vegan and vegetarian for 15 years. i now eat fish, chicken, turkey, bison and lean beef like 2 or 3 times a year - but only if organic, no antibiotic, growth hormone, etc...

with that being said, i have read all the material regarding cow's milk and i i am right with Heidi - cow's milk freaks me out!!!

as far a soy milk, i have found that the taste and texture varies substantially from brand to brand.

the only one i like is Vitasoy Creamy Original (but NOT the lite!) - it is really good! and for chocolate soymilk - Silk chocolate is the best.

as for ricemilk - my FI uses that for his cereal and he loves Rice Dream Original Enriched. he says the vanilla is too sweet.

for cooking i use a soy creamer product from Silk -it has a similar consistency to half and half.

Alyssa :)

yeah, I'm thinking all I have to say is "chocolate milk" and she'll be all over it, hopefully she won't take one sip and say, "what is this??"

Although the kids still get regular cows milk at school, so I guess changing to soy at home would at least be a step in the right direction.

Hubby doesn't drink milk

I use the same. LOVE it. Plus it lasts a lot longer than half & half; so does soy milk. Takes a while before it 'goes bad'

i have to try this soy creamer...if I have left over half and half from baking or parties...i'll put it in my cereal embarrest.gif. But usually I drink Westsoy organix unsweetened soymilf. 1 cup has only 1 g net carbs, 1 g sugar, 4 g fiber, and 9 g proteirn!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
