Our wedding is at 4pm. I'm getting the steel drum band from 4-5pm. That way they'll play while walking down the aisle and for a bit of time after while we're mingling/doing pictures.

The DJ questions are great, I was wondering the same thing myself. Hopefully someone can answer them for us! rolleyes.gif

I asked Chandlyn if we should meet with the DJ before the wedding to go over music and she gave me a sheet to fill out that lists what songs you want for mother/son, father/daughter, etc... It also says to list your top songs and all the names of the wedding party. Chandlyn said she'll give the DJ this before your wedding so he can prepare. I think it'll work out good!

I would bring cd's for the DJ, not an ipod. I am going to trust the DJ, and just bring the necessary songs - first dance etc. I hope he has an up to date playlist.

During our ceremony and cocktail hour afterwards, i was thinking of useing the idop and speakers, or make my own cds for Chandlyn to play - I don;t know. So many decisions, and so little time!

Thanks for the sheet that is great to have. I should ask Chandlyn what would work best. I am scared to get the DJ then get out there and him not have any of the songs I want played during the reception. I could make a bunch of burnt CD's then he would have all the music but it sounds like alot of work if I am paying to have a DJ.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
