Candy Buffet

Recommended Posts

For those of you that had or are having a candy buffet, where did you buy your candy? Did you purchase it in bulk online or did you buy it once you got to your location?

If we plan on doing this I'm not sure if we should just do one color or just a mix of everything. Just looking for ideas.

Thanks!! smile78.gif

This thread may help you some.. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t6916

I know there are pictures too.

When ours was a DW the plan was to buy the stuff before and travel with it otherwise you risk not being able to find what you want. On the flip side you have to worry about melting. LALA should be posting photos of hers very soon!

We got our candy in bulk before we got there - some online and some at costco. We took it down during our site visit in August and left it there until last week. It was fine - not stale or anything. The wedding coordinators just lined baskets with white napkins and put the candy in there with a big spoon. We only had red and blue candy. I'll post a pic as soon as I can find one!

I can't find a pic yet! Ugh!

Everyone loved it and made a bag of candy. I saw people eating it by the pool the day after. DH and I took a bag with us to Todos Santos too! There were these blue candies that turned your mouth blue. There are (somewhere) some funny pics of DH's grandma with her tongue out and it's all blue!!! So funny!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
