Travel Mugs as Favours

Recommended Posts

For anyone thinking about shipping to Jamaica - it is REALLY expensive. Like $200 for 10lbs. I would keep this in mind if you were planning to ship ahead. The mugs are a super cute idea, but we just don't want to bring anything else heavy/bulky.

My sister did travel mugs for her dw in 2004. They were great to have at the resort. Only problem we encountered is that sunscreen made the logo come off. So, if you applied sunscreen and didn't use the mug handle, the logo erased. I plan on getting mugs for our favors but haven't started pricing them yet.

Update! I picked out a mug from discountmugs.com and ordered them, they arrived today! I am very happy with them, they are SO nice! I did the tumbler style so it would take up slightly less room in the luggage. My plan was to put an SPF chap stick, and aloe vera gel inside the mugs and give them to everyone, but the aloe vera gel is too tall! smile35.gif SO NOW.... I think I might buy some small gift bags to put everything in because I also bought everyone a paper fan and bubbles! Anyway, discountmugs.com was great! And I did great with the CDN Exchange rate, but Customs did ding me $84 when they got here, grrrrrrr.

I wa splanning to go all out with travel mugs and OOT bags, but our overall wedding cost is changing my plans, unfortunately.

So, we are likely going to get the travel mugs and fill them up with sample packs of aspirin, imodium, pepto, small aloe gels, chapstick, and a small lotion (depending on what will fit) and then putting the mugs into clear plastic gift bags with the a name tag tie and Welcome Letter inside.

Jmhein I love your mugs too!!! When I was picking my dream mugs (yeah I've been doing that for like 2 months) I picked the same clip art and setup. My colors are pink so I figure I'll just do eveything in silver or something (the guys probably dont want to carry around cups with pink). Anyway yours are too cute. Now I want to order mine.

Thanks ladies! :)

Tami, that's a really good idea with the clear gift bags! I think that will look nice!

Chicago - too funny, we're getting married at the same resort, 3 days apart, and our colours are the same! wink.gif I think we better meet up for a drink! I ordered 50 mugs and they were $4.99 each! Plus shipping to Canada ($33) and Customs of $83. Those charges kind of hurt the ol' budget but overall it's still a good deal compared to other mugs I saw and the prices available!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
