I know there are tons of posts about music during the ceremony and certain parts of the reception. But I am no getting a marichi band for cocktail hour (due to the expense, not that I wouldnt LOVE one). But I have to make a playlist of my own music but dont know what... Anyone have any suggestions. I dont want too slow or music you would necessarliy break out a dance move with. haha

I like all kinds of music, and suggestions?

I am currently working on my playlist.

I copied into MS Word lots of the playlists posted on here and am weeding through those as I put mine together, picking what I like and adding it to my playlist.

Here's the lists I copied, but I'd look in the music thread and see for yourself too b/c there are tons more I didn't get to put on here.

I am not sure if this insterests you at all, but for dinner music we used these cd's Rockabye Baby! - Transform your favorite rock music into baby music.

Our guests loved them, they kept trying to guess the band and song name. It was fun and still let people talk and listen to songs they liked, just differently.

Some might think its a terrible idea, but we loved it and so did our guests, so I thought I should post it in case someone else thinks its as great as well did.

We had Tool (one of my fave bands), Metallica, U2, Cold Play, Nirvana and Beatles. We wanted Nine Inch Nails but could not find it in the stores near us.

OMG Julie! That's awesome! We played old classics by Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble during dinner but that's awesome.. how fun! I added a bookmark for that page to refer back to for a great baby shower gift or even my own kids some day.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
