Helpfull Coordinator

Recommended Posts

I have attempted to contact Wright Travel, Baja Romance, Lovelycaboweddings and Fiestas Los Cabos for the last week, all with no response. It took a week for Sunset Weddings to contact me. Maye is the only coordinator that is responsive! I get confirmation that my information was received through their site and that someone will contact me, but then no response. Is anyone else having similar problems? I am trying to plan a scouting trip for the end of the month (less than 2 weeks!) and I really would like help! I was hoping to interview more than one coordinator. Any other recommendations are appreciated.

I think I received the first email on a friday and the other one on a Sunday, I could not answer right away beacuse I had 2 wedding that weekend but if im not wrong the email was responded on Monday.

I just want to speak for me and for the rest of the wedding coordinators and wedding companies, some times we receive the emails but we have a wedding next weekend or the weekend that we received the emails on and it doesnt mean that your wedding is less important than the other ones, but we coordinators know when we have enough time to plan, or to answer I know it`s hard to ask a bride that is far away and desperate to be calm, but some times we coordinators are looking for the information you requested or trying to find different options to satisfy you and thats why it takes a little longer but please don`t judge us from the beginig we will answer your emails and try to be responsive.

I am using Katie Thompson at Weddings in Paradise
Weddings in Paradise and I couldn't be happier. I went for my site visit in early September and she drove me around many different sites and gave me different ideas. She is VERY quick to respond to all my emails and requests, usually the same day and most of the time within a few hours. Also she is American so it makes me feel comfortable knowing there won't be any possible miscommunications because of a language barrier. PM me if you'd like more info!

I am sorry. Perhaps my post was to the inappropriate thread. It sounds as if I was sending emails you may not have been receiving and you did advise me later of that. Please understand that my question was more of the nature of response time and not complaining about certain agencies. I was asking if 1-2 week response to inquiries is typical. I realize now in reading through this thread that I should have started a new one to pose my questions to other brides and not on your thread welcoming new brides to use your services.
I am glad that you are an active member of the forum and it seems like that is also a time consuming task judging from the amount of time I spend. I know you must be very busy and I realize that you must receive a high volume of initial inquiries that do not lead to contracts.

Also, since I am a newbie and I have a scouting trip in less then two weeks, I think I was just looking for a quick response time, which I now realize is not necessarily the standard for all initial inquiries among the agencies.

To all other brides, my recent post is not an indicator of the services from these agencies, just my experience with response times which may or may not be typical for others.

Again my apologies.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
