Bouquet Pin Question

Recommended Posts

So, I was just thinking about the Starfish Pins that we are using in our bouquets.

I am going to use a champagne colored pin in my bouquet. But I really like the idea of the pins and was thinking about adding a clear crystal starfish pin to each of my BM bouquets.

Do you think it changes the significance if I do that? I know most of us ladies have only used it in the Bridal Bouquet. I don't want to detract from my bouquet by adding the starfish to the BM bouquets ... but I am having an invory rose bouquet and they have colorful bouquets. I was thinking then they could keep their starfish pin afterwards.

Any thoughts?

lol. I was thinking it really was only significant to us BDW ladies, anyway! Everyone esle will probably just ooh and aah over what a unique idea it is. hehe. That's what's happened so far with every idea I've gotten from this board! I LOVE it!!! bunny_4.gif

How much did she charge for these? I've found them online, so if the prices are the same, I may just get them from her too.

But I think I like the palm tree for my MOH and flip-flops for my BM's. Makes it a little more fun (like your dragonflies for the BM's).

I love the palm tree one. I was contemplating ordering it for myself, but I'm not sure if it will go. I don't even know what type of bouquet I am going to get at this point so I have time to figure it out. I think the flip-flops would be a cute idea, but I also don't think it would be bad if you had starfish in all the bouquets. My friend had these swarovski crystal sticks in all the bouquets including hers. I think they looked beautiful.

ok I finally found the price for these - she charged me $11 for each. I thought that was pretty decent and easier to just get them from her.

I bought aqua starfish pins for all of my girls and one for myself along with a "D" for my bouquet. Nobody noticed and nobody commented. One of the starfish was lost throughout the night.. oh well.. hopefully the pictures look nice. I plan on breaking off the stem and using one in my shadow box.

I thought the idea of the BDW starfish was great but didn't want the extra stress of getting it to the next bride on time.

$11 is a great price. I got mine for about the same or a little less, but they were on sale because they were discontinued..they're usually much more.

That's a great price. The ones I found (made from the same company "Bouquet Jewels") are $11.99 per starfish, $14.99 for flip-flops and $16.99 per palm tree.

So, it does sound easier to just have her do it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
