We will be in Cabo for a week for the wedding. Then it's off to Belize for 8 nights! SOO excited about that.

Then, we come back, I move to Denver (FI is already up there), and we're taking a weekend in the mountains of Colorado at a private home and getting legally married! It's going to be like 3-4 weeks of just pure fun!

how are you getting from mexico to belize? that's the part we can't figure out. flying seems to be pretty expensive and the bus seems very time consuming. i found a private car service that will pick us up in pdc and take us all the way to belize city... but i was wondering if you had an easier way? :)

Oh, we have to fly back to DFW (which is where I live) to get from SJD to Belize. So we're flying from SJD to DFW on Sunday, will stay home that evening, do laundry, repack, etc and then fly out on Monday from DFW to Belize. AA is having a sale right now on tickets from DFW to Belize, so it might be worth looking into!

our plan is to just switch to a smaller, adult only resort in MR for the HM for an extra week. but i kinda wanna go home, do laundry, repack and see if the kitty is ok.

for people not going home after the wedding and straight to their HM are you having someone take your wedding dress back for you?

Absofreakinlutely! My mom is taking it back to the states for me. I can't imagine shlepping my wedding dress around on my honeymoon! I think if I had to carry it, I would end up ditching it in Jamaica - lol!

We spent a week in Puerto Vallarta then flew to Ocho Rios for another week. Then we got back to L.A. and had another week off of work so it was the best 3 weeks ever . . . then back to reality :o(

I gave my wedding dress to a cousin to take back for me. If I had to I would have taken it to JA but it would have been such a burden....glad I was able to pass it off.

We were originally planning a 2 or 3 week European honeymoon in June or July of 2008 but I'm dying to travel again - I can't wait that long and I'm also trying to get pregnant. So we opted for a honeymoon in Vegas (LOL) and if I am not pregnant by our first year anniversary, we'll plan our European vacation. It's a win/win situation for me :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
