Dresses that can't have be "TTD" ?

I was just wondering if brides can TTD no matter what type of material their dress is?

I am planning on having a small party with all my friends upon my return and I would like to put on my dress for that occasion. also, I would like to tell my mom that the dress "survived" the photo session !

Is it possible with this dress?

I think it depends on what you are going to do during the photo shoot. From what I understand, pretty much any fabric can survive salt water and sand so long as you get it professionally cleaned within a reasonable time... just make sure you don't catch it on any rocks and you should be ok

I would think so... I want the same type of thing for mine. My only concern if the material is too thin you would see through it... those pics might come out a little sexier than planned.

I think most materials would be ok, but I don't think silk will survive. If someone has experience with this, I'd love to hear about it too, b/c my dress is duchess silk satin.

I really don't think silk or satin would survive the TTD in salt water. I think the dress would have watermarks stained into it. When I went shopping for my dress, the girl in the salon urged me away from the satin dress I liked if I wanted to use it for TTD. I think most other materials would be ok though

Agree on the silk, I have a shantung silk dress and was told water is bad and can leave marks.

Other than that though I think most fabrics will be fine though perhaps a bit revealing.

Oh yeah, forgot to add. I think this dress would be fine because if it was would say it (silky doesn't count) so other than the sheer factor I think it would be ok. Get good undergarments and you'll probably be fine unless you're totally going under the water for an extended period.
