My contact was Monica, at this email address: ixchelcabo@prodigy.net.mx

I heard back from her the same day I sent the first email. I would try re-sending your inquiry - I remember having issues about 50% of the time sending emails to addresses like this, like they never got there.

I was also going to tell you that we didn't really have a "curfew" with their service. The driver just gave us his cell # and we called him about 15 minutes before we were ready to go. Very flexible.

Do you know who you worked with or their contact info? I sent an email to the general email address a few days ago (it was a @prodigy.net.mx address) and have not heard back.

Thanks!

TransCabo wants me to pre-pay in full. Does this sound normalhuh.gif

Iâ€ve contact Monica at Xchel. I sent her three emails and have not heard back from here (I know that Christa said that sometime she does not get her emails). I leave this weekend and might have to Pay TransCabo if I do not hear back from Xchel.

Should I be okay with this?

That's too weird --- I was surprised at how responsive Monica has been! I checked my email and I have the same contact address (ixchelcabo@prodigy.net.mx).

I asked whether or not I needed to put down a deposit, and she said "no". She sent me a confirmation email and we planned to touch base again 30 days before our arrival.

If you don't hear from her tomorrow or the next day --- if you PM me, I'll try send her emails, too. That's a lot of $$ to come up with if you don't have to!

Hey Amber - that's strange that you haven't heard back from Monica. I had the same experience as Corey - no deposit required. Honestly, I think that you will be able to secure transportation once you get to Cabo Surf - I remember Ixchel was always there picking people up, they must be based near by. Maybe email Armando & ask him if he can arrange transport thru Ixchel for you? I'm guessing your emails are not making it to Monica.

Thanks guys. Iâ€m going to re-email her. Iâ€ll use my FIâ€s email this time. Maybe Iâ€m ending up in her junk box. I talked to Jenesis and she pre-paid with TransCabo and had no problems. So, if I do not hear from Monica, I will do that.

I just had to make sure that I wasnâ€t going to pay in full and then not have them show up. Things like that can happen.

Hey Christa, love the new member tag! How many posts do you have to post to get that one?! Ha!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
