friend vent... what would you do?

If it were me, I would just forget about asking her for money for your hair services. I would never do her hair again and if she asked would tell her that you no longer can afford to do freebies.

As for the wedding issue, it is such a shame that she can't be up front with you. It must be an embarassment issue, but that is still no excuse. Obviously she is not planning on going to the wedding if she hasn't booked anything at this point. I mean don't the rates go up the closer to the date? She would be paying a fortune.

It sucks when friends let you down. Sometimes you need to clean house when it comes to friends. It is hard, but in the long run saves you drama.

I would tell her straight up, she needs to pay you.

One time I can understand, but not four times. Seems like she is used to getting her hair done for free.

Hair products and dye are NOT cheap. You should def tell her to pay up. She doesn't sound like a good friend at all!

That's a tough one.. it is hard to ask a friend for money, but I think if you are friends than she really shouldn't mind. I mean you have a wedding to pay for. Doesn't she realize that?? I would kindly ask her for the money. You shouldn't have to explain, you did a service and she should pay. I mean, I have had friends to my hair for special occasions and I slip them a $20 b/c I know it would either be $40+ at a salon, or look like sh** if I did it. Seriously, I would ask.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
