P.s... I will be posting some pictures of all of my crap within the next few days for all of you to look at.....

Thanks again for everything~
We leave in 4 days!!!!!
Hi Leigh,
You are so great for offering to do that! Could you please take some different angle pics of the terrace area (that's one of the possibilities of the wedding reception, right?) and the ballroom. We're trying to decide between the 2. There's also a lobby type of area as well? right? I'm so lost in where the reception areas are! sad.gif
Thank you and I wish you exceptional weather and completely carefree and wonderful wedding!!!
Bisha:)

I'm in that phase of the wedding planning and could use some recommendation. Thanks!

By the way, I also booked Citlalli for photos and Miguel for videos.
I am using a DJ too. I don't think we have a choice of who we can use though. I'm pretty sure we have to use the DJ that the resort uses for all of their weddings. I believe the name of the company is PSAV Presentation Services Cancun Mexico. I've pasted their URL below however the site is only in Spanish. I'm really hoping that Susan has only good things to report about them when she gets back since it seems we don't really have a choice.

I am using a live band that Claudia suggested.

We are getting married at Dreams end of Oct so I can give you feedback if your interested. This is the link to their website ..:: Kiko & Carlos Band ::..

They quoted us $800 per set of 45 by 15 Minimun 2 hours and told us "If you hire the band for at least 3 hours, we will include a super DJ for free to play before, or to alternate with the band and after the band is done for 2 o 3 more hours"

Remember Dreams charges per hour of service beyond the alloted time they give you for the reception.
They gave me a 3 hour slot for the reception, so we have thought about adding an hour then going somewhere else.

Trust me I'm well aware and a little bummed by it but we are going to suck it up and just pay for an extra hour anyway. Thanks for the reminder though cheesy.gif

Someone on here was given a 4 hour slot... so we thought they stopped bar service during dinner.
I asked and they still have bar service through dinner, so I am so confused why did we only get 3 hrs for reception with the ultimate package?
I have lots of questions for the October brides once they return :)

That makes 2 of us!

I'm thinking that it may be Susan that has a 4 hour reception. Maybe it has to do with the size of the party? She has about 90 people so maybe they allocated more time since dinner will take twice as long to pass out or twice as long to get everyone through the buffet? She'll have to confirm when she gets back.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
