So, I have been eating so well, aside from last weekend. And I weigh myself every Friday. I also went to bootcamp twice and it was HARD last night. I only lost 1 lb this week. I know I am happy that its something, but feel like it should be so much more than that. Only 5 more weigh in's till I leave, I better get at least 2 lbs next Friday. Although, this weekend is my step-dad's 50th birthday and my shower. Oops.
Not too mean at all, I worked out for 1 hour 40 minutes, cardio & weights, my arms are sooooo sore!!

And 1 lb. is great, think about all the muscle you're puttin into your body.

Its not so much the drinking that I am worried about, its all the food. We are foodies, we love food in my family. So I know there will be lots of it. I am not going to say what I know will be there cause it will just make people hungry and give them cravings, but its going to be HARD. My sister already warned me about the food. lol

I love to drink, lol, so I usually go with, crystal light and vodka, if I'm at home or can bring it somewhere with me, or if I'm out usually captain & diet coke. Or vodka & club soda with a splash of cranberry.

As far as the food, its funny, my shower was at this fantastic restaurant in town and they do a sunday brunch buffet, so thats what we had, there was soooo much good food, and for some reason, I wasn't very hungry. I ate a couple bites of scrambled eggs and the home fries and had a piece of cheesecake, yummy! and that was it.

I think what you should do is be really really good on whichever day this weekend isn't your shower, and then on your shower day eat a really light breakfast and plan to have a light salad for dinner, that way you save most of your calories for the shower and you can have what you want, just don't go completely overboard, just have a little of everything, not a huge portion. You can do it, you deserve it, and make sure you work out both days, and you'll be fine.

I am so glad you worked out so hard Jill, that is awesome.

Thanks for all your tips for the shower. You are totally right. The issue is I can't work out at home at all, and I will be making a cake all night tonight and tomorrow morning (it takes me a long time) for the party tomorrow which starts at 1. So, no working out possible either tonight or tomorrow. I have an elliptical in the basement that I would love to use, but we are in the midst of finishing our basement so its a mess down there and there is no room for me to use it. So I am kinda stuck. Maybe I can bring it up tonight and then back down after. I have people coming to see my house after the shower, so my house also has to be clean (my friends who live in Toronto where I used to live have not seen our new house yet). So, if I have time where I am not making the cake, I should be cleaning. lol At least I will be busy running around, that will be somewhat of a workout.

Just do what you can with working out, maybe just go for a walk? If thats all you can squeeze in. Or if you can bring the elliptical up and work out for an hour or so tonight and then maybe again in the morning, that would be good.

You are right, I will bring it up. I will need the mental break from my cake anyway, I get clouded and frustrated sometimes. I can work out while they are baking.

So, I just went to try my dress on again (I got new shoes and they are shorter, so I had to catch her before she hemmed it, I did not want to pay more for her to hem it even more) and, I need to have it taken in even more! I am so excited, that is 2 times it has had to be taken in cause I lost weight. YAY!!! I am hoping it will be taken in 1 more time before the wedding :)

Mine has a corset, so I'm hoping it will still be okay, so I don't have to pay more!
Mine is also a corset back, it does not need to be taken in there, it needs to be taken in at the hips. lol So, don't count on it. I think its included in the cost though, if they have to take it in more, I don't think they charge you more. For the price they quote you, they have to make it right.

Congrats Julie that is such an achievement. Now that's motivation.

I tried on my welcome dinner dress which was tight before and now it's so easy to do up the zipper. woohoo!

OK have you girls noticed how much sodium is in EVERYTHING?! Seriously isn't sodium bad and makes you retain water?

Yes, sodium is really bad. You are supposed to stay away as much as possible. You can combat bloating by drinking lots and lots of water though.

smile159.gif That is so awesome that your dress is fitting better. I agree, it is motivation. I still have 3 more weeks of bootcamp, and then I will get my butt to the gym as much as humanly possible before the wedding.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
