I am right there with you Mel. I have some more weight to lose and 33 days to do it in.

I thought I would try today to not eat carbs, but I can't do it. Its not possible for me. lol

I ate pretty well today though, so I am working on it. I have boot camp tonight and I am going to really push myself. I am thinking that the salad I just ate will not keep me full for long though. SO, I need a very low cal snack with some protein in it that I can eat when I get home from boot camp. Any suggestions?

I got home late from work and didn't have time to cook, so I ate a bowl of multi-grain Cheerios with low-fat milk and added some raisins.

Letting it digest before I go work out.

It has 100% of several vitamins and minerals, so that's good.

I don't eat it every day, but good for times like this.

Good luck ladies!!!

Yay!! So glad you started this thread!!!

I worked out this morning for 1 hour 15 minutes total, I was supposed to take one of the dogs for a walk/jog this afternoon, but my afternoon got kind of screwed up and it was almost dark when I got home, so I'll try for the double workout tomorrow.

I ate a light yogurt, a banana, a lean cuisine, and a pork chop, and lots of water. Not my ideal menu, I usually have salad, but I'm not that hungry tonight so I just ate the porkchop.

We can all do this!

Ummm I love carrots or cucumbers, don't know if that's good prior to a workout. You should treat yourself to a protein shake after bootcamp. I put in protein powder, OJ, a banana, some vanilla yogurt and 3 strawberries. Oh and ice too. Blend it up, it's soo yummy.

That's super jill! Wow, with your double workouts I kow you'll see results. I'm so proud of you. I don't like working up a sweat.

You're right we can do this. bunny_4.gif Gotta keep saying that to myself. It's so hard.

Thanks Kash about the shredded wheat tip and recipes. I'm going to try the salad tomorrow. I love balsamic.

We ended up having chicken and corn on the cob tonite (I know carbs). I added a side of steamed brocolli while FH added some potatoes which looked so good.

If you want to drop pounds fast, stick to a 1300 calorie per day diet. A good way to make sure you are getting enough protein is to follow this ratio: 22% protein (71.5g), 22% Fat (31.7g - yes, you need good fats) and 56% Carbs (182g).

Keep doing your strength training (weights) AND do 1 hour of cardio 6 days per week (target 228 calories burned each session). The equipment at the gym is usually off by 65%, so if the treadmill says you've burned 100 calories, it's really only 35. No one ever tells you that and it's a bummer.

I got this regime from my (expensive) trainer. I am so happy to share it and hope it helps!

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
