Thank you! Juan Carlos Tapia was my photographer. I think I may have been the first to book him (from the forum) back in Feb 2006. Then Tammy (Host) ended up getting him by default bcz her phtotgrapher was sick or something and asked Juan to shoot her wedding for him. So I got to see her pic's June and was soo relieved that I chose him!!

You can see my pictures on a a link at the bottom of my sig.

Tell me more... while prior to the wedding I thought I would tackle designing the book now I am not so sure.

Oh Juan did it for me. But I was contantly giving him feedback, it was a long process. I like symetry, so at first he had it looking like a collage, but once he understood what I was looking for, he did the rest. I acutally stole the design of some of Nurse Sarah's album. Now that girl is a DIYer!

So, what color cover did you get, and when is it coming? Is it done, or are you reviewing the final design?

That was the final cut. It has been sent off to print, so it will be about a month from when he sends it in to when he gets it back to me. I chose a black leather book. He sent me the color choices and it was weird. They weren't pictures of the actual album covers, more looked like computer generated overlays of colors. So I didn't want to pic a color bcz I wasn't sure what I'd end up getting.

So, did you decide if you're going to make albums? I have a friend that got married in Hawaii and wants an album like that made. I told her I'd see if you were interested in doing one for her. Let me know if your up to it and I can put you two in touch. PM me.

Aww, thanks Rebecca. I just love making books!

Yes, I'm working out the details, and getting ready to send my book in to be made. Once I get mine done (so I have something to show people as an example) I'll figure out a pricing structure and start advertising a little- here's my first pre-advert! lol I'll PM you about it as soon as I have more info to offer :) Thanks for the heads up!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
