FYI,

I just received an e-mail from Sol Tamargo photography. She replied within a couple hours.

I informed her that I would like a package list etc etc.... and that I was getting married sometime in late April to late May 2008. She is allready booked up all of may and only had like a week in April open. Price wise, she is a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion after seeing her work.

Its what, 17 months or so from my wedding date and she is booked. SOOOO, if anyone is remotely interested in this photographer than I would try to get in touch with her ASAP, to see if she has any openings.

I think I found my photographer!!!!

I e-mailed Elizabeth Madina, who does great work and is local. (no traveling fees!) She got back to me within hours. She misread my e-mail and thought I said May 2007 (I"m getting married in May of 2008. Here is what she sent:

Hi Jackie,

Thanks for your interest in my work and your kind words. Congratulations on the wedding! I do currently have available dates in April/May 2007 and would be very happy to photograph your wedding in the Riviera Maya. I really like your idea of taking some pictures in town as well, that would be really fun!

I am attaching pricing info. If you would like to split the 8 hour coverage in two portions to do some photography the next day that would be fine. Please note that all my packages include the full set of 4x6 proofs (unmarked) as well as the full set of digital negatives, so you can print your photographs as you like, I also offer the option of fine art prints and beautiful flush mount albums as well. All expenses are included in the package and I do all the photography personally (I don´t send alternate photographers). The packages also include web galleries and web slideshows so you can share the photographs with your friends and family.

Thanks and best wishes!

Elizabeth

Her package are really reasonable price wise, and include a lot. The file is to big to attach here. But I can always e-mail it to any RM/Cancun brides that are interested. Or maybe Tammy will see this and have some advice as to how to get it on here if possible.

Thank you!
No problem I'll do it right now.

Update for any and all that are interested in Sol Tomargo. last week when I e-mailed her she said she was booked for My wedding dates but she just e-mailed me again saying that she was confused and thought I was inquiring about 2007. She has not started to book yet for 2008, incase any of you were aprehensive about getting in touch with her because she was booked. Just thought I would clear that up.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
