All RiuOR Noon or Earlier Brides...What can we do until 6PM??????

Recommended Posts

I am so happy you were able to get your time changed. I hope that makes your special day even better. For you girls who still have noon ceremonies. there are some great ideas of things you can do. I bet you will be able to make the most of having an early ceremony. Plus you'll get to see your groom earlier. Our ceremony isn't until 4:00, and my FI refuses to see me before I walk down the aisle. I wish I could spend more of our wedding day with him. I think that is a big advatage of having an earlier time.

For those of you who do not like your ceremony times, make sure you follow up with Carolina to make sure ceremony times are actually confirmed. I too had a problem in the beginning and after double checking with Carolina, I was able to get the time that I really wanted. Many people book their dates but never go back to actually confirm their times.

Lizz,

Chandlyn told me in an email that Mammee Bay is available between 12-4. The only con is that it will be buffet vs. a platted meal, but you and your guests will be sectioned off from other guests. Some of my family members offered to fix and serve plates to everyone. I think that was a great idea.

Even though I got a 2 pm slot, I still have a long wait until 6:30. One of my friends used the Riu's Hors D†Ouvres menu to create a menu that included a variety of finger foods, a desert and fruit. I emailed it to Chandlyn to get a pp price. I didn't get a response back yet.

I will do the hors D' Ouvres on the beach for an hour and the 2 hour disco. This will have everything ending at 6. I scheduled the dinner at Mamme Bay for 6:30. I am making it optional and informal. I want those who would like to start enjoying their vacation to do so. I plan on leaving the disco a littler earlier to take a shower and slip into comfortable clothing for dinner.

Hope this idea helps some of you!

Happy planning

Thanks for the idea, Melissa! Let me know about the price when Chandlyn gets back to you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
