Anyways, they all were able to shower and get ready so something had to have been worked out. Since you will only have 12 people it's not that huge of a stretch.

my photog came on a boat- a little fisherman one- around 2pm. Nicole told me that they can go to the nearest city and a boat can be hired to take them there. THey then came back on the catamaran with us.
I don't know about the bridal party, but I looked back on my handy spreadsheet and there was a Vanessa who had the username 'chrisnessa' - you could look up her posts.

And my photog came over in the morning with us to shoot us hanging out for the day and get a feel for the area. But had she not wanted to do that, she could have come over like Rachel's, just later that day but early enough to get the "getting ready" shots if you want that.

Her 2nd shooter came over with teh whole group so we have a lot of great shots from the trip over, as well as the guys getting ready. It worked out well.

I found her review (chrisness), all she mentioned was that all 13 of them FIT (ha). One thing I hadnt even thought of was tipping the WC. I figured Brad would get something for performing the ceremony, but I was so glad to read everyone saying that they tipped the WC, cause I would've completely spaced it out. Can anyone say what they tipped? $50-$100 or more? I dont even know what's normal? I had kind of thought the 10% tip added to the quote was for Kelly (ha). Also, are you supposed to tip photog? Oh man.....who's gonna go to my FI and up my budget? LOL

We tipped Brad $50 I believe. We tipped the WC a $100 or $150- I think. I wrote all of this somewhere but I can't remember where. We didn't tip the photog because you are paying their services directly. Kelley is getting paid her salary however LC negotiates that with her, so a tip is a personal thank you. I don't think of it the same way as hiring someone that you pay directly vs. paying the company.

The tip added is for the guys that work the dinner- waiters, the set up crew and even the boat operators I believe. I do know that it's not for the WC!

And if you hadn't planned on it already, you better add the fire dancers and let FI know about that all at once too! LMAO!

You know.....I already asked about the fire dancers, but because we are going during the week and they are doing the ROTN show, she said I couldnt hire themhuh.gif That was one thing I had put in the budget b/c everyone said it was a MUST. Here is what she said:

Most of my clients choose to see the rhythms of the Night show after dinner - and it is included in the wedding package – this would be the way to see the fire dancers and incorporate them into the wedding since they perform in the show. There is no other way to add them on…..

hmm huh.gif maybe that is because you have the Paradise package?
I went with the premier package and we did not have ROTN tickets included on the wedding night and we did add on the fire dancers. There was a show that night too, they just have the guys quick run over and dance separate from the show.

Chicago - sorry I am no help on the flowers....I did not have a bridal party so we didn't need to order any more.

Nate came over about 2 or so (I think, since I really had no concept of time that day lol) and started to shoot us getting ready and my bridal pics and whatnot

I got flowers for both of my girls.. and bouts for both GM.. the flowers for the girls were $35 each and the bouts were $8 each. I MADE them for my parents and whatnot though because THOSE were spendy. I am not sure why. I will see if I can find pics.

I didn't think they were too expensive- $30 Bm and $10 bouts? I could be way off, but at least that's what I think I remember. LOL Are you having a lot of BMs?

Nessa- it has to be a package difference. Have a lot of people really gone to see the show? I don't think a lot of brides here have, but then again most have had the premier package I think. It seems like there would not be enough time to do wedding related stuff- do you have a timeline?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
