How much are they willing to spend? From ATL in March( not sure of your exact wedding date) for 3 nights and 4 days, including air its $966. Not sure if that helps. I've been faced with the same delima. Hope everything works out if not as long as you and your husband to be are there that's all that matters!!

Hey MsSmithtobe,

Trust me we have all been there! I am having the exact same issue right now. The only people that have booked so far are our families. I agree with Kimberly333 as long as the two of you are there that's all that matters! In the end it wil be beautiful! Plus more people will book as time goes on. They are just not will to make the commitment now cause the see march as so far away. Keep your head up girl!

You can have the family member call the hotel themselves and see if they can get a "local" rate day pass instead.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, i looked too for my dates for 4 days it is $1235! yes it is high, but I also gave everyone more than a years notice. My TA got it down to about $1000, and people are still complaining. But you are right it's about us. Even the bridal party is complaining though....

Like you said, you gave them enough time to get their $$$ together. For some people I don't care if you give them ten years notice $$$ will still be an issue. That's why I cut out a lot of aggrevation. My sister is my one and only bridesmaid and my son to be brother in law is the bestman. In my opinon the resort you chose includes food, drinks, entertainment and attendance to MOST SPECTACULAR EVENT EVER!!!!! How can your true friends put a price on that....
Don't worry who will come will and who won't - won't. Enjoy planning (remember) YOUR SPECIAL DAY <& hubby to be>.

MsSmithtobe, sorry for yoru aggravation! It may sound bad but I make it known to people, we don't care if anyone comes except out parents. The knot will be tied regardless. We opted not to have a wedding party as my FI was in two weddings last year and said he would never put his friends through that! LoL! We are not looking for gifts. If you come, you come and enjoy your vacation while we enjoy ours! If you can't make it, we will see you upon our return...no hard feelings.

eholt i sooo agree. I just didn't say it cause thought some people wouldn't fee that way LOL. but as long as parents are attending thats all that matters! Close friends will attend because they love you. All the other don't matter. Plus you can have a gorgeous small wedding and not have to worry about a bunch of people :)

Hello everyone,

I just got married at the IRHS on July 10th. My wedding was absolutely beautiful. I'll post pictures and review soon. I got back and got a bad case of the flu, i am recovering so I need a few days to recover and I'll write my review. Nicole totaly rocks. We were a tough crowd and she took care of us.

In the meantime if you have questions, i will be happy to answer.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
