Hi -
We used Cancun Discounts Catamaran Tour and I would give them an A+.
45' Catamaran in Playa del Carmen - Private Charters

We loved, loved, loved, loved it! We and our guests had a fabulous time when we did the tour the day before the wedding. It was a 4 hour swimming and snorkeling adventure on a 45-foot catamaran. The crew was hilarious, fun and entertaining. This was such a highlight for our guests, they couldn't stop talking about it...even now. Many said this was the perfect way to get to know each other before the wedding. Of the catamaran tours we researched, this was not the cheapest one we found (price is listed on the website) but we had so much fun it was worth every penny.

No free t-shirts. If I remember correctly, the bride that you are referring to had the t-shirts made for the guests. If you have further questions, let me know.

Ooh i havent come across that one. Thanks for the link!

Regarding my name change, I polled my 5 brothers last night and the general consensus (minus one brother) was to just take his name only. The two arguments that won me over was this:

one brother is an accountant and works with IRS stuff - he said it was much simpler to change

2nd brother works at a bank and said bank cards are limited to 15 characters and if i have both of my names, it would be 20 letters long....LOL!

so I'm just gonna take his name

You bet! We just had basic munchies. It included chips, guacamole, salsa, and fresh fruit platters. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot after floating around in the ocean.

Hi Ladies!

I haven’t been on here in a while, but my wedding date is only 3 months away so I’m back in planning mode!

Advice…it is MUCH less stressful to do individual bookings than group. My FI insisted on a group (which we ended up with 15 rooms) but still people haven’t booked (despite the June 30 deadline on my invite). So now we have to put additional money to continue to hold the rooms. A lot of people said they were coming and are now deciding not to. We seem to be getting a lot of mixed reactions from family and friends about the location. People are either very excited or p-od at us for having it far away and it being “expensive” but people don’t understand the value of a nice all-inclusive! GRRR…I just wanted to get that off my chest :)

I just got an email from Angie Silva from the new website they are using. I didn’t even know until then that the US offices closed! I wonder if she will be the local WC at the time of the wedding?

Love everyone’s pictures…they are gorgeous!!

I really am trying. I just got access to the online site TODAY. wtf.gif I have been raising hell with corporate. rant.gifI was able to get Zulma as my new WC. Hopefully, that will work out. There is NO info. listed on the site about our wedding. I remember someone saying that theirs had the date listed. I am really hoping that everything turns out well, but have to admit that I am SOOO disappointed in their lack of communication/organization. Hopefully, it will get better for future brides!

Duprk, is this if your passport is new? I didn't think it applied if you already had one?

I said I was going to hyphenate. My FI was ok with that. One of his friends decided to lecture me on that not being the right thing to do and telling me what he and his wife did. I told him I was glad that it worked out for them, but my man and I had a plan that was going to work for us, LOL! He backed off then. I'm keeping my name because professionally, I'm known by it and because my natural father, paternal grandmother and paternal grandfather are deceased and it makes me feel close to them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
