Thank you for all the lovely comments on the dresses ladies, i am still not decided on which one yet i have a shop ordering me a white version of the estes dress (2nd one) so that i can try it on and make a decision.

Charmaine...... Yeah i am getting married at the Gran Caribe and they have said white table linen is free however napkins are $1 per person and chair decoration cover & ribbon is $5 per chair, quite steep i think, not sure what table centre pieces are available either.

We have had a few hiccups with family because we have chose a DW but we have had to be firm and say its our day and its up to you if you join us, we have found that most have come round as they know we are not going to change our mind, i am sure your MIL will come round to you getting married in Mexico hun.

Have you decided on a month to get married Charmaine? We have moved from 2012 now to November 2011.

Hi Vicki

I'm sure the MIL will come around, she'll have no choice because we are not changing our plans for anybody.

We originally were getting married in May 2012, but then i remembered my daughter will be sitting AS Level exams sometime in May/June and I won't have the timetable before we book the wedding so I moved the date to July 2012 just to be on the safeside. Although now i'm a bit worried as June/July is said to be the rainy season in Mexico!!!

We went to a wedding last year in the Dominican Republic in June and it was hurricane season then and we witnessed some of the worst thunder storms i have ever seen, having said this although the rains were heavy they were over quicker than they started and left the air feeling more cooler, we never had a rain storm during the day though they seemed to start in the evening around 7pm.

I would imagine that the rainy season in Mexico is similar to this, try not to worry to much hun

Hopefully it will be fine, i've had friends that have been to Cancun in June/July and they said that if it did rain it was only a 10 minute downpour and then it was over.

Both are lovely, but i prefer without the extra bows. xx

I really love the fans, i've seen them on a few websites but they're quite expensive for one, can anybody suggest a website to get them from that are reasonably priced.

Charmaine - i really hope your FMIL comes round. We have also had hiccupps with family and friends because of our decisions but at the end of the day EVERYBODY has to respect what you and FI want. I had a row with FMIL back in Jan and things are still not right now. I will never forgive her for interfering and hurting me the way she did but she has settled down now.... Finger's x'd she will accept it and get on with it! (thank yourself she dosen't live 5mins away like mine does ha ha) You can switch her off when you want. DONT let anyone spoil your plans hun! xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
