Yes the stone pathway was close to the Tucanes Bar where we had the dinner and dancing. It was very convenient.

LaurenV-I know 22 days! So excited! I never did a site visit all the planning was through email and phone calls. I have to say I was always on top of my WC and basically I was always a few steps ahead visualizing every detail and asking tons of questions :)

I just realized I was posting with you on another thread about the same thing! opps! We picked the basic package just beacuse of price, but I would have loved to do a video of the ceremony or TTD. I hope 3 hours is enough time.

Ladies - on Vista Print today they have ladies tshirts that you can customize for less than $3.00!! I already made one for myself that says Just married, Mother of the Brides, Bridesmaids, etc. They have 46 pages of tshirt images to choose from :) if you need me to forward you the email, PM me your email address.

Just happened across this thread. My company, 1023media, actually just did a promo video for The El Dorado a couple of months ago. If you want to check it out, you can go to my website,

The El Dorado is absolutely gorgeous and a perfect place to have a wedding. We filmed a couple renewing their vows there for the promo and it was a really nice little ceremony. From what I understand they are fairly reasonable on pricing as well.

I ran across this website that offers 50% discounts at El Dorado resorts and 20% spa services. Might be something to look into if you have a little extra time upon arrival and don't mind touring the timeshare. Not sure if it is wort it but I ran ito it on a bride and groom's; website and thought I would post the info. Cheers

Has anyone had any issues with their guests finding cheaper EDR room rates with another travel agent? I thought I was receiving a 20% group rate discount but I have had a couple guests say they have found something even cheaper through their own agent. I'm not sure how to handle this. Anyone else encounter this?

We have not had an issues with that thankfully - our rates are really good! Who is your agent?? We went through destinationweddings.com


Laur: I have not even thought about the tipping yet, great question!!

Went for my first dress fitting on Monday... its time to get cracking and tone up my arms!!! lol

I didn't have this issue either because at the beginning we encouraged everyone to book through our group and let them know they were getting a reduced rate. We're also going through DW.com. That really sucks though. It just presents a headache for you.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
