i was thinking of doing a welcome party at the lobby bar at the royal but some of my guests will be at the Gran Porto. i thought maybe the few would not be noticed at the Royal in the lobby but maybe they are super strict. any experience with this ladies?

all of the photos that everyone posted are gorgeous!!! congrats to all!!
The thing is Royal guests' bracelets are transparent with golden prints..and Gran Porto Real guests' bracelets are vivid yellow. Thus they are very visible, and the security guards would ask them to leave (even if they pass the bell boys)

Anyway, can i ask what make you choose the Royal over the Playacar Palace?
Oh don't worry its not problem :)

The convenience of being down town. For us is was all about location, location, location :)

Like I said we have a lot of events that we have planned on 5th. We also have a pretty young group. We have a lot of late twenties early thirties and know people are going to want to go out at night.

Also we fell in love with Kool Beach Club where we are having our reception. It is just a short walk over from the Royal and we are going to have a mariachi band walk over with us.

It offered us peace of mind that our guests could walk around and not have to worry about cabs or transportation.

I agree...I picked The Royal because of the location and it had a sister resort that catered to families. The only negative thing about it is that the beach is public. The pros overweighted that con.
I agree, the only con that I can think of as well is the beach. Not as private and scenic as the more secluded resorts. But at the more secluded resorts you are pretty much stuck there. We never drank/ate in town but we enjoyed walking into town everynight after dinner! It's a fun little town! And also during the day to get a break from the pool/beach we would go to all the little stores on 5th. You can't do that at any of the resorts that are along the main road/highway.

3) I dive and snorkel..but I can't swim (it is a psychological thing, because I could swim very far without knowing and almost got drowned as soon as I "realize" that my feet can't touch the ground so many times in the past)!!!
OMG I am the same way! With the contacts and the swimming lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
