Cindy, I've barely done anything. All of my ideas are in my head still. I need to get them into production LOL

My travel mugs were delivered this morning to my wedding mule in Idaho! Woot! Can't wait to see how they turned out...

My definate worst is the nutrition----5 good days ruined by the weekend..LOL! I only do the cardio and strength to maintain my gains...I'm bad!

I agree. Weight loss is all about calories burned less calories consumed. And you have to exercise and eat right to lose weight. I do Weight Watchers, and the program has worked great for me, but I do know that writing down your food and tracking calories (or points for me) helps you lose weight. I have read in several places that people who track their food lose twice as much weight as people who don't. I would try to eating healthy most of the time, tracking your food, and try and get some type of activity in every day.

Good luck!

Haven't been on much this week, just took my dad home from the hospital, he had a heart attack but had an amazing recovery. Tue he was life-flighted to the hospital and was in ICU on a ventilator and a pacemaker and today he WALKED (no wheelchair!!) to the car.

So I agree weight loss is all about more calories expended than ingested... no magic pills or anything. I had a patient yesterday who lost 20 pounds in 3-4mo just by adhering to a diabetic diet and walking 3-4 days a week.

For teeth whitening I planned to do Zoom but was told by my dentist that I'm not a candidate as I had cancer so instead I'm doing the trays and whitening gel. I saw results after 2 days. I like the listerine whitening rinse before you brush too.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, Wendy! Glad that he is recovering so well though. That is amazing! Try not to get too stressed out about wedding stuff.... sometimes it doesn't feel like it, but there are wayyyyyy more important things in life.... like taking care of yourself (and Dad!)

Everyday I'm like "K, I'm going to start eating better" Never happens though. My first fitting will be beginning of August. Hope the dress still fits or I will def have to step it up a notch! If it doesn't do up then I guess that has MOTIVATION written all over it. Let's hope it doesn't get to that point....EVER! HA

I hear you there! I've been telling myself since January to get myself in gear..I used to be so into working out and keeping in shape and latelyI just feel like Im so busy with other stuff that when I get home after a long day, all I want to do is relax..sit down, veg out..not go work out!!

I tried on my dress last week for the first time in 10 months...it still fits but not as beautifully as it did before, so hopefully that will be some motivation for me to get on track!!

Ah Wendy I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. I'm glad he recovered so quickly though. I hope he continues to have good health!

So you're not supposed to use Zoom? I had cancer when I was 3! Crazy! I'm going to look into that. I usually use crest white strips and plan to do that before the wedding.

As far as weight loss goes, diet is the hardest part. People do not realize that what they burn is not as much as they think, and extra calories add up fast. I'm a marathon runner but am working on gaining muscle so I've been lifting weights 5 days a week instead of just 3 and also heavier weights. Cardio is great, but if you're just putting in the time and not the effort it won't get you the results you desire. Every time I do cardio it has a purpose. Ha, I'm obsessed with fitness and manage a personal training company, so I go off on the subject a lot......

I’m sorry about your Dad wendy! That’s great to hear he is doing well and out of the hospital.

Well, my dress DOESN’T fit! It fit when I bought and when I picked it up then holidays, birthdays, bought a new house, moved and fixed up the old house to sell my weight went up and the zipper on my dress doesn’t go all the way up anymore. Talk about motivation! About a month ago things finally settled down so I started getting back into losing weight. I only lost 5lbs in 4 weeks, but I am on my way there. I want to get my dress altered in July and I have my BD session on 7/11 so those are my big motivators right now.

Runningbride24- that’s so cool you manage a personal training business! My cousin’s husband has a small personal training business. I wish it was near where I lived! I love having a personal trainer. They always push me more than I push myself.

Welcome glenny05!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
