Going dress shopping again and I have to find something this weekend or I go without lol!

I've gotten 4 reply cards back in the mail, so freak'n excited.

Bigger news: officially engaged 3 weeks ago. Good because I sent the invites to print, earlier that day. Yeah, I'm a wedding planner by trade and I little zealous but we knew when and where we were getting married so at least I clued him in on that stuff.

Congrats!! That is too funny and cute!

Well, I'm ahead of you in the dress department, but haven't sent my invites out yet. Mine will go out July 12.

If you don't find a dress, you could go without -- that could be fun too, haha! Make it a theme... think of the pictures, lol.

Hello Ladies. We're getting married February 18, 2011 at Catalonia Royal Bavaro in Punta Cana. I've already booked the airfare/accomodations. I've decided that I was going to wear a two piece white silk charmeuse sarong with scarf top with turquoise slip set, which I will make myself. Everything has already been decided. I'm glad I can relax for a while.

Hi All! Glad to see so many brides picking DR as their destination. We were engaged February 10th 2009 and were supposed to get married this June, but oops we found out we were expecting a baby girl and had her on Halloween lol. So we went for a destination wedding which will take place Thursday, February 10 (day we got engaged) at Bavaro Princess Suites and Casino. We sent out our save the dates in February, Sent out invites last Friday and already have 33 people booked. As for rates, we have an amazing travel agent and if interested you can PM me and Ill get back to you with his info. We are flying out of Pearson (Toronto) on a Sunday and returning the following Sunday. We all went with Platinum Service and Suites and Flight and Hotel with Platinum Service cost our guest 1599$ (1399 for regular suite). The more people you book the better deal you can offer your guest and the better deal you and your FI get as when all is said and done we technically only had to pay $150 to $600 for our trip with Elite Service :)

My dress is picked, bridesmaid dresses are picked Ive attached pic below, Groomsmen clothing is decided and we have most of our OOT bags completed as well as our wedding party gifts. Went to purchase my wedding cake topper today :) Ive also went and quoted flowers that I absolutely love as there is no sense in paying for flowers for 7 bridesmaid which they cannot bring back on the plane. We are going with the Beach Party Reception and my date, has now been confirmed with the hotel as well as time.

OOOOH I'm so excited...can't you tell LOLsmile36.gif

Hi Ladies! We're getting married February 7 at Dreams Punta Cana. I have the dress, picked out bridesmaid dresses and should be ordering them next week, invitations were sent out a couple months ago. I just got centerpieces and now we are working on welcome bags for our guests.

Yay! Finally settled on a group rate with Sunquest Vacations! I just booked me, FI, and my parents to start off our group. Sunquest also had a great special where they hold 30 seats for the group for 90 days, so that gives people time to get in their deposits. I am so excited!

Hello Fellow February 2011 Brides.

I am a Dreams Punta Cana bride and will be getting married February 17th, 2011. I have already sent of the invitations and gotten 3 yes responses and 1 no so that is pretty exciting. I have also already picked out and purchased the dress and am currently working on centre pieces actually my mom is working on the centre pieces for me. We are making menu lanterns to put in the centre of each table with flowers along the bottom.

I have also started working on the OTT bags I made a mock up of the bag and it looks pretty cool. My aunt is making the bags as a wedding present for me and another aunt is giving me money to buy all the stuff to go in the ott bags.

I haven't picked out a maid of honour dress yet but I think I might just let her wear whatever she likes. My FI and I are only having a maid of honour and best man.

Other then that I think that is all I have done so far.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
