2011 Prices

Hi all! It's been a little while but I'm getting caught up in all the convos!! Heard back from our TA and prices have dropped a little!! She's still advising us to wait b/c she really thinks the prices will continue to drop. I think we might buy the insurance and put a deposit down. That way when the prices fall our price can be adjusted and we'll just owe less.

We have sent out our save the dates. We just put the location on them and said the invitation with all the info will follow. This way at least people will know the date. I think we will send the invites out in Fall with our TA's info on them. I'm going to let people decide how many days they want to stay for and how they want to book.

we have booked for january 8th! we booked through selloffvacations.com...they also have a policy that if the price drops they can do a one time only adjustment...my goal was no more than 1500 per person and we achieved that! the quotes i received were even cheaper than on the website! Some of my wedding group couldn't make the full payment but they are guaranteed the price if they pay in full by september....my understanding the flights are supposly going to book up quicker this winter as that one tour operator went under last winter! Therefore they recommend at least puting down a deposit as that holds your seat on the airplane...it's only 150 per person! So glad we are done with deciding when and where now it's the fun stuff! Happy planning!!

What price did you get? Is it from Toronto? I got a group rate of $1416/person, and it also includes a one time price drop.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
